Bach Inventions for Guitar Duet Book/Online Audio

I can imagine Jerry Willard was probably opposed to putting the TAB in this book as well but the publishers probably forced his hand arguing that we can sell 60% more books with TAB because people that can't read music will still buy it! Bad idea! If I had known it was full of TAB I would've passed for sure. I try to use it with my students and they have a hard time following because their eyes get lost on the page thanks to the TAB. So in other words...LOOSE THE TAB!!! This is music, let's learn to read it already! I will not be recommending this book to to any of my students or fellow teachers. Its a shame because all of the other Jerry Willard stuff is great! AND HAS NO TAB!!!

I already had an old copy of this but bought it again to have the CD's and tab not in earlier editions. These are fun to play.

These are really nicely transcribed for guitar duet…however put the tabs in a section by themselves or drop them…too many page turns and by and large people buying this book can read music !!

While basically lifeless renditions, this is a great practice product. For my students I fed it into a looping machine and reduced the tempo without changing pitch. Well worth the effort. Good for the money.

I had looked for this exact item for some time. I was glad to find it. Nice package with two discs and both parts. At least one piece was in a key different than I am used to, otherwise very nice.

The TAB makes it essentially impossible to play through one of these pieces without making photocopies of the pages. If you really need the TAB, Bach is probably not for you.

Previous books by Jerry Willard didn't have tab and were good. Not sure why this needs tab. Just extremely annoying.

This is a nice well-arranged book of duets for 2 accomplished guitarists. If you are a beginner or even intermediate.......forget it.Choose something with the word "Easy" written on the cover.

Alle Inventionen 1 bis 15. Sie sind teilweise in andere Tonarten transponiert. Ungewöhnlich aber sehr originelle Versionen. Mit Verzierungen versehen.

Gut gesetzt und leicht lesbar!Die Tabulatur erleichtert auch gitarristen mit nicht so sicheren Notenkenntnissen einen guten Einstieg.Macht sehr viel Spaß!!
