MOOGRK100002 Rear Upper Suspension Control Arm for Ford Escape

My 2013 C-Max was eating rear tires. An alignment noted -3° LR camber and -1.5° RR camber. Shop deemed it non-adjustable.I was able to install these arms in an afternoon, and with the car on ramps, dial in -0.8° camber on each side using the angle finder on my phone.Amazingly the badly cupped, worn out tires are running quietly already.You *can* adjust these in place. They didn't come with any directions, nor does Moog have them available on their site, but it wasn't too hard to figure it out.To adjust the arms in place:1. Loosen the pinch bolt.2. Loosen the jam nut. It is the smaller of the two concentric nuts, and is LEFT HAND THREAD so turn it CW to loosen.3. Use the adjuster nut, the larger of the two concentric nuts, to dial in the camber.4. Tighten the pinch bolt.5. Tighten the jam nut against the adjuster nut (CCW due to left hand thread). The tightened pinch bolt will keep the adjuster nut setting.That's it. You DO NOT need to remove the arm head from the spindle to adjust. The concentric, opposing threads (LH/RH thread) allow the adjuster to work with the arm in place.Time for some new tires!

Mazdaspeed3 with stock everything was -2° and demolishing the inside corner of rear tires. Easy install and a couple of tries at adustment. All is happy at -3/4°. FYI one turn of the adjuster is about 1/4°

I can finally properly align the rear of my C-Max. It's been eating the inside of every tire since we bought it. Ford blamed tires, battery weight, and shocks but after a friend of mine had the same issue with his focus I figured there was more. After searching ford forums, people suggested these and they work! The guy at the alignment shop said it was way out of camber from that factory. Ford should have had these as stock.

This is the answer to the question "how do I stop my rear tires from wearing out due to excessive rear negative camber"? THESE. Had to have a mechanic install them but after that? BAM.. no more stupid excessive negative camber. There are a few Fords/Mazda's, that needed these Also, Moog Brand =Good

Adjust it close before you put it on, its hard to get a wrench on after it's installed. Most of these cars have too much negative camber after suspension settles over time, worn bushings struts. So bring it out a little. I used a digital level off the rim, check it before you start on level ground. Jack it up and now see what it is, move it out the required amount. Check again. Lower car on level ground bounce a few times, check your camber.

Hate the cambered tires that was present in our Escape. Ford did provide adjustments to take this out. Enter these Moog parts and now the alignment could be done, by Ford, to fully correct the camber. BTW, the Ford Dealer did the install too.

Better than OEM & adjustable.Now I can get a proper alignment.
