This is my third bottle and this batch is like no other. See picture for example. The first two bottles were a clear liquid and, although, I could only smell a faint scent, my dog was able to find ALL the antlers hidden with the first two bottles. The third bottle has a yellowish color and a putrid smell and I thought it was a bad batch. I contacted the seller and asked to exchange and explain why this batch is so different than the other two bottles I purchased... no one responded. I will not put this on anything I want him to retrieve.****UPDATE*******I spoke to the person who creates the recipe and now feel confident using this product again. So I wanted to let others know what I found out.There are some color differences because the scent is made in small batches so the color may vary from a yellowish/brown to a brownish pink. The company made the scent "odor" stronger over the last few years based on customer feedback. My pup has been able to find the scented antlers in the past with the first recipe and I plan to continue training my dog using the "new and improved" recipe. The new stronger recipe allows me to dilute the scent(if wanted) to make it more challenging for my dog as he progresses in training. Also, I was told that natural preservatives are also used so the scent won't spoil.

You only need a few drops on the you to be effective. Love this for training my dog. Would highly recommend.

At first I was a little disappointed cuz you can't smell anything and my dog puppy never seem to notice a difference or even react in the slightest bit to the stuff but as time is going by and I keep using it I can tell now that he knows what that smell is and it's starting to relate that smell to fun and treats just ordered my second bottle and some of the wax just be patient and keep being consistent paid off for me

I read some of the reviews and I must have got a bad batch. I've bought this product in store before and it was clear with no smell. When I open this package from Amazon I about puked. The smell was terrible and the liquid in the bottle was brown.

Seems to work!

It’s ok. With being in drop form I find after a few fetches it must lose some scent. I will try the “chapstick” type next time to see if that leaves the scent on there longer.

When my dog sees an antler now he's on it. Unfortunately he doesn't want to give it up

This is a water based substance so it evaporates quickly and does not absorb on the plastic antlers. I found the rack wax works better for the plastic anters for traing. My dogs were able to pick up the scent and find antlers where ever hidden. Cannot wait for spring to try to find antler sheds in the field
