Eisco - Concave Mirror 5.9 Inch Diameter 300mm Focal Length Glass for Physics and Educational Optics Experiments

I needed this for a special project and this worked out fine.

El espejo presenta una gran imperfección consistente en una mancha hacia el centro. No es una pequeña imperfección, es algo muy malo para ser usado con fines ópticos.

I decided to brave the reviews and get one of these because of the low price. It has defects in the reflective backing that wouldn't be acceptable in the least expensive consumer make up mirror from a dollar store. There is absolutely no legitimate excuse for them on this mirror.I waited to long while trying to figure out how to use this mirror around the flaws to return it. Not recommended. Some people may have gotten ok ones, but believe the bad reviews too. The quality control is the lowest I've ever seen for a mirror.

It was bought for an experiment that failed through no fault of it's part. Another purpose is in it's near future. Packaged with care and not a finger print to be found, it was nice and clean when delivered

I got this for schlieren imaging. It's was a great price, most lenses for the application are 100+ on the low side. I figured it wouldn't be high quality but I purchased a smaller one from eisco prior that got the imaging I was looking for so I wanted to get a larger one. I got one of these and it had a defect in the reflective backing in the center of the mirror about 5mm in diameter. I ordered a replacement and the replacement had 2 defects in the reflective backing. I'm not happy that I received two with defects but for the price it's alright. I tried to get a third replacement but the app won't let me and customer service is completely automated now so I can't talk to anyone about it.
