8 PCS Poppet Valve Universal Poppet Valve Keg Poppet Valve Ball Lock Poppet Valve Pin Lock Poppet for Homebrewing (8 PCS)

Had for just a few days, but fit perfectly in my pin lock kegs. Poppets protrude up from the post surface just a bit, where the original poppets were flush, but doesn’t change function at all. Package came with replacement o-rings as well (8, same as the number of poppets) and no leaks so far on the kegs I’ve installed them on. Even with such short use, I’m way more confident I won’t have beer spraying me when I pull off the disconnect compared to the originals.

These poppets are much better than the ones I bought from my regular beer store. They are stable and seal well.

The springs are longer than the original Cornelius keg poppet springs and need to be cut to the same length, otherwise the springs will put too much force on the poppet O-ring, causing the rubber to distort. Once trimmed to the proper length they work fine. The cost of these are about 4 times less than original Corny parts and the O-rings are replaceable, unlike the originals.

Although more firm than the factory poppets, these work excellent. They are also easier to clean/sanitize, and should never need replaced (just the o-ring over time, which are inexpensive.Just keep in mind they require more force to put hook up your lines. I'd imagine they will get a bit easier over time with use as well, as the coil spring ages.Very happy!

I bought this product hoping I wouldn't have to sort out the Frankenstein mashup of pin lock posts that came with my used Corny kegs. (They all needed new poppets) Using this product ended with a stream of root beer hitting the ceiling. Exciting!I saw a different review that recommended cutting the spring to fit a pin lock, so I bought this product and took the chance. The fatal flaw however, is that the poppet heads are too small. Part of the o-ring WILL slip through when under pressure.Gave this product 3 stars since the poppets are well manufactured and probably work well for other (mayber newer?) posts. The item shipped and arrived very quickly. I use them in the posts of ball lock kegs. They work perfectly. It’s also really handy to have received spare o rings in case the originals wear out. I’m a satisfied customer.

I bought these cheep Chinese "Universal" poppets to replace the original original Type-B valves that had dried rubber seals. They worked fine until the first time I removed the ball lock to clean taps and beer started leaking.The top of the springs are not milled flat so the cap does not sit flush and the valves leak. The diameter of the cap is also smaller than the diameter of the ball lock, leaving a gap for the O-ring to bulge out (see picture 1). The OEM poppet valves have a center guide post to keep the the cap aligned (see picture 2). They also have a slight taper to the cap to ensure a tight seal (see picture 3). This is what it is supposed to look like.To fellow brewers, don't take a chance that you might loose your liquid gold to a cheep and poorly designed poppet valve. Pay the few extra bucks for the valve types that came with your kegs.Cheers.

I love homebrewing and have 9-10 kegs (I know that's a lot). It has been so frustrating to find poppet valves that work across several makers. I have replaced several poppets with these universal ones and have been very pleased with the results. Can't beat the price too!
