1980 Hess Training Van

Got the trucks no problem

The Hess Training Van came in it's original box as advertised but the lights didn't work when we put in new batteries. I understand that it is an old toy but I it would have been nice if the description said that the lights no longer worked. Other than that, it was perfect and arrived very quickly.

Door was clearly broken and almost looks like it was a replacement door that you can tell has wear marks where someone tried to pry it open. Lights don't work properly, you have to wiggle the switch and hope it connects just right. Paint on box actually rubbed off on shipping box so I don't think this one has been cared for as it should. I understand this is a very old toy but at $200 I expect it to work. Very disappointed as I have almost exclusively used this seller to build my son's entire collection and this was his "Big Gift" for Christmas this year. Going to return and hopefully find another one.

Everything was great with the item, the box was a little beat up but the toy inside was mint.

a big factor is that everything works properly. if it doesnt work right price should drop. i am willin to pay 30.00 for a non working van.

The Box was water damaged and had a mildew like odor, like it was sitting in a flooded basement. Also the Door was loose. We paid an inflated price and feel that the product should have been perfect considering the price tag.
