Ultimate 9.5 Qt Dutch Oven Seasoned Cast Iron

This dutch oven does everything great especially if you are using it on a Camp Chef stove. The cone in the center does a great job at getting your heat to the top of the dutch oven without worrying about coal ash in your food. The lid doubles as a nice deep skillet or trivet. the two removable grates included with it work well for grilling, small smokes, and doing a dish on the bottom with meats on top. Another great product from camp chef. I have done everything from cobblers to pot roast in it and been exceptionally pleased. The only downside if you can call it a downside is that you can not use dutch oven liners with this oven.

First off, it's really heavy, but it is solid. It came seasoned, but it was coated with black stuff like it was seasoned in a coal fire. I scrubbed mine. Oiled it down and reseasoned it in an oven. It looks much better. I'm using one of the 14" storage bags for dutch ovens to store it when not in use.I bought this dutch oven originally to use just in my wonder bag I ordered, but I can tell this is a very versital dutch oven. It is going to be fun to see what kind of stuff I can cook up with this thing, and how too by using different methods! I can't wait... Here I go! See ya! :-)

After having all sizes from 8" shallow to 14" deep, the construction is great of this oven. However, it is hard to clean with the center port. The preseasoning was good, but a standard 14" oven is better value.

Love my Ultimate. I am just getting started but my first attempt would have been more successful had I used propane heat source instead of charcoal. I needed less moisture and more heat to cook in the short amount of time I had. Ideally, we would like to perfect this for smoking meat from a dutch oven.

Bought as a gift. Did not recieve the picture I wanted on it. Need to put the correct picture on the photo of something advertised.

This particulate Dutch Oven will only hold a little Chicken. I was told, that this oven will cook a 20 pound Turkey . Not possible. What a disappointing ,when the pot arrived. I returned the pot and had to pay $ 27,00 for the return shipping. Wont purchase over the Internet again. to inconvenient and to costly. The Camp Chef, as a cast iron vessel in it self, is a great product.I own several pots.
