Perfect for my 8 year old
I was a little worried about finding the right weight blanket for my 8 yr old, who's anxious at bedtime. We've been using it about a month now, and it's been transformative. She visibly relaxes when we put it on her at night, and she reports she's not up for a while thinking about scary things anymore. She's about 60 lbs, and the 7 lb weight seems pretty good. Won't have to replace it for a while. Color is nice and quality is good.

Firm pressure without being hot
I was never hot which was my primary concern. As for the weight, there is something to the distributed pressure that is seriously comforting without feeling restrictive. It's firm but gentle and you can still move around. I feel asleep listening to a guided meditation that goes deep underwater, so the pressure of the blanket was a terrific compliment. I slept through the night, woke up before my alarm, and for the first time in a long time look forward to going to bed tonight.

Miracle Blanket
This blanket is a miracle. My daughter suffers from anxiety and had not slept more than a few minutes at a time for months. The first night with this blanket she slept 2 1/2 hours straight and slept for a total of 9 hours. So happy I made this purchase.

Wish I found this sooner
My 10 year old has anxiety issues, and this is amazing for him. From the second he sat down with this blanket draped over him, he loved it. He uses it to sit and watch tv, play video games, do homework or going to sleep. I wish I found it sooner. He says it is so relaxing. Now my husband wants one too! Also, the quality looks great, especially for this price point. I'm going to try a little heavier weight as well. We started with 7 lb weight, and my son weighs 100 pounds.
