Kyle Creed - Clawhammer Banjo Master Book/CD Set Paperback – Audiobook, November 17, 2010

Each song is tabbed twice: once by bob carlin as closely to kyles original recordings as possible, and then again by dan in a more modern format - basically 'how most people play it'. Gives you a lot of good options for learning the tune. Most of the tunes in this book are pretty well known and still played a lot at festivals, etc. I feel that this book is more useful for learning popular tunes than the similar Wade Ward book, which includes a lot of lesser known tunes that I don't encounter as much when playing out with people.No basic instruction here, the book is only the tab, so if you are learning to play this is not where you want to start. For existing players, this is a great resource of useful tunes.

One of the best Round Peak clawhammer banjo books out there. Probably a bit easier than the Wade Ward book.

I'm an intermediate player on a good day. These songs are not too dificult but have a few finger stretching curves thrown in. The songs are old timey and the music is well printed for easy reading.

Cover clearly says "CD Included". First page lists which tracks on the CD each song is. Trouble is, there was no CD included!! More and more publishers are including online access to the music instead of printing CDs (see the other entries in this series), but there was no online code in the book either. Very disappointing. I'm returning this one.

Good book and Great songs. Each song needs a capo. So you'll need either the spikes or mechanism to cap of the game string. I use a pen cap. Works fine enought for me
