Highly recommend
I had to buy this book for class, but it was honestly such an interesting read that I continued to reading it past where I was required to for my course. I have one more chapter to go before I finish the whole thing.

but I really got bored with it
Im not sure if it was me or the book, but i just could not "get into it". I bought it for a class and after reading about 3 pages, I just could not continue. Maybe I didnt give it a chance by reading more, but I really got bored with it.

okay
I originally ordered it to write a review for a law school seminar entitled "law and social global perspective." After reading the entire book I felt that my grade would suffer if I relied on this book. Instead, I used Adeversarial Legalism by Robert Kegan. Still, I used this book for some support in my paper about Kegan's book. It is okay.

The best summary of Big Tobacco and Public Policy you could find.
Derthick does an excellent job on outlining big tobacco and public policy in the U.S. and how Congress explicitly protects the interests of rich corporations. This book is just meat, no fillers, and it provides excellent information on public policy.
