DEWALTDWHT36109 1-1/8" x 30 ft. Standard Tape Measure, Belt Clip, Yellow/Black

Had a DeWalt 30' tape I got a few years ago. And it lasted the entire time. It was run over by a speeding fork the 1st month. Straighted the hook & it was good to go. Worked it in the desert sand during dust storms and rain. Had it on roof tops in the summer heat. Dropped it many times. Normally tapes don't last me a year.When the numbers on the end were wearing off it was time to buy another. Went to the box store and got 2. One for my apprentice & me. It was slightly different on the bottom. The hook broke off the apprentices the 1st week. Mine kinked a few feet from the end the 2nd week. It still works but the kink is a matter of time before it breaks. Does not retract verry good.So I got this one and it's just like the orignal one I had. No problems. Why companies make a great prodoct then replace it with junk. This may be old stock. So buy the good one while you can.

Use it for work. Recommend DeWalt any day.Not sure what happened. Use it one day at work and the lock button doesn’t work pretty upset. Hopefully I can get another one not common for this typical brand to break so soon

The tape isnt going to last. Took it to work for a few weeks and the tape is already starting to twist to the side so extremely that the tape will break before itll reach 8 ft

The only thing is it only goes out about 3/4 of the way it claims before bending/going floppy

Tape measurer is sturdy. I measure vertically 10 ft and it doesn’t buckle.

Have used these for the last forty years and these are the best tape measures I have ever had.
