Amazon controls the product details and they allowed someone to create a new sizing structure for the gaiters. It should be medium for men's shoe sizes 5-8, large for men's shoe sizes 9-12 and x-large for men's shoe sizes 13+

Q: These look shorter than standard gaiters. Are they? Do the go up to below your knees?

The height depends on the gaiter size, the medium is 15.5" tall, the large is 16.5" tall and the XL is 18" tall.

Q: I am a twelve boot. Large or extra large?

XL. That being said - the pair of Kenetreks i bought lasted 2 weeks and the hooks ripped out. Spend the extra money and buy Outdoor Research Crocodile Expedition gaiters. They are better built/made and I cannot wear them out.

Q: What color are these. It says Loden green and also says black

Mine where the green with black straps and black hook/loop fasteners.
