Remarkably "cool" design
I brought this product to provide intense cool light roughly equivalent to sunlight (5000 deg. K). From the moment I got this 40W LED out of the box, I knew this was something really different here from any other LED fixture design I had used or encountered previously. First, the design was really "cool" to look at. But more important, though it put out 40W (equivalent to the 5500 lumens that would be put out by a 350W incandescent bulb, this LED light ran exceptionally cool. Even after it was on for 15 minutes I could touch this bulb anywhere on its surface though if I put my finger directly on one of the 7 high intensity LED's, the LED's of course would feel hot to the touch but I was able to keep my finger on it. The rest of the bulb was just warm to room temperature. It has a truly efficient thermal design and essentially the entire LED bulb is a porous heat sink that convection air currents can circulate easily to keep the bulb cool. The light was such that of the CRI (color rendering index that describes how well the light produced approximates that of sunlight) approached the same as sunlight. It was astoundingly intense, the most intense LED fixture I ever used, and the only one that I ever had to handle with sunglasses to avoid temporary blind spots on your retina. You simply cannot look at this bulb directly even across from my 50 foot basement without sunglasses on. And the bulb is relatively light weight in feel. It is by far the most superb LED bulb that I have ever used. I plan on ordering gradually 6 more. It's expensive but on a cost of dollars per watt and lumen output, it is quite economical. The only thing of course I was not able to discern was its life expectancy. LED bulbs are usually rated for about 25,000 to 30,000 hours. Some of the Chinese manufactured LED bulbs have fallen below these standards with much shorter operating life. I personally date each LED bulb that I put in to see how long it has lasted when it does go out, and unfortunately, I got a fair number of bulbs that went out in way under the 5 year minimum that they were supposed to last. But if this bulb can show that it has an operating life of at least 5 years or 25,000, then it would be a product that is truly perfection. Time will see.

Failed after 300 hours of use
This bulb is bright as advertised and the spectrum is nice. However, the bulb failed after maybe 300 hours of use. Contacted customer support but received no response, unfortunately.**UPDATE** Customer service replied and offered a replacement.

very illuminating
This light feels like its built to last. My wife sews a lot and uses the dining table to work on. She has been complaining about the lighting currently available in that room. It has one can light and we added a couple of lamps with good bulbs in them but, the lighting was still poor. When I opened the package and lifted it out I knew immediately this was no ordinary bulb. I put the bulb in a lamp with the shade off because it doesn't fit in a standard lamp, due to its circumference is too large, which was something I didn't think of when I ordered it. Undaunted I left the shade off and placed it on the table, with curious anticipation; one click and WOW the whole room lit up like mid-day sun. Excitedly I told my wife how wonderful this light bulb was and she answered with "OK SURE". Well come and see I quipped in return. She sat at her sowing chair with no other lights on. Slowly I turned the knob and shazam! it was as if lightening had struck. With the tiniest bit of suppressed shock, she causally stated "well that will just have to do". Afterward I overheard her bragging to our grown daughter how much better she could see. This bulb will brighten your day when you see how it lightens your night!!!

Very bright but not worth the cost. bulbs do not last long at all.
The only draw back to this product is we have very high ceilings and an extension light bulb changer does not fit the size of this bulb. Its a very big bulb that does not fit any extension light bulb changers.UPDATE: we have two lights that were flickering and are no longer working. The other two have one or two of the lights out. They sure do not last 5 years as I just purchased them towards the end of 2019. Not happy as they cost a fortune for each bulb!!UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS BULB!! NOT WORTH THE PRICE. The bulbs maybe last a month or two. I had 1 bulb blow out in 5 minutes. These bulbs are bright but definitely not worth the money!!!

Started flashing and burned out not lasting as long as stated in description... please read update!
Although this provided beautiful bright light, it didn't last as long as stated for the amount of hours I ran it. I tried reaching out to customer support and have never heard back from them. I have several of their grow lights and they have been fine. Very disappointed as I use this for work and had to order another light ASAP to keep my business going. I'm very sad they don't back up the product when its supposed to have a warranty.**Update** I have been contacted by the company and have received excellent customer service in resolving this issue. I will continue purchasing from them in the future should the need arise.

Good Lamp
We use the lamps through out the winter for plants that we bring inside that won't survive the cold. This is our second lamp that we have bought. The first lamp lasted 3 years. Which is about what I would expect, hence the 4 stars. If it would have lasted longer, then I could see a higher star rating.

Grow bulb
I bought two bulbs thinking they would reach my multi potted new plants. Truns out, all I needed was one bulb. Bulb is bright, reaches out wide and a great asset that my plants love. The bulb is sturdy, just a plug in and go which makes it easy to use with no noise to speak of. These bulbs last a long time making the money paid worth it.

Some work and some don’t.
I bought 4 of these lights a little under a year ago. When they work they are very bright and awesome. However 2 have gone out and I’m having issues getting them replaced under the 2 year warranty. Hopefully Sansi will get this rectified soon. I have some of their other types of bulbs as well and when they work they some of the brightest you can get.I would rate 5 stars if SANSI would replace the 2 that have gone out in under a year.
