Targus HyperDrive NET 6-in-2 USB-C Hub

It's really a pain when you cant use LAN, HDMI, USB on the latest mac book pro. I searched online for a USB C hub and saw a lot of option, but most of it lacked some or other ports. Hyper Drive USB hub was the one which had almost all the ports and really elegant design (I am sure nobody want a cheap looking attachment to such beautiful mac book). The color is very close to the macbook (the difference is not much visible, pls refer attached image).I have been using it for more than a month and its working fine. Will update if there is any problem in future.The only drawback is the price, a bit expensive than other products. I guess thats bcoz its imported from US. But it's worth the money, after all you wouldn't want to compromise on the look of a beautiful macbook :)Final verdict: If you can extend your budget a bit, Go for it !!!

I have been using the dock for a while now and it works pretty well. One of the issue I have with it is perhaps the fact that it isn't really good at staying in place which is again not a huge issue since you are not moving it around with this attached. I have used a monitor and a USB condenser mic with it. The monitor creates a new desktop instead of replicating the existing one which is very important when buying something like this. I also use the ethernet which again is a great addition. My only gripe would be if it fixed a little more strongly to the MacBook. I am using this on my Macbook Air 2020.

The product is just the way it is described. Very sleek model, fits very well in my MacBook Pro, i3, 2018 Model.I tried all the ports - HDMI, LAN, USB and Thunderbolt C Panel. Every port works aptly.Just one thing to mention, the LAN port cap has to be pulled out to tuck in the cable, this part is made up of plastic and may wear out over use for some time. This is just a possibility though. Rest of the cover is core aluminium and seems pretty robust. The LED glows indicating the device is connected to the MacBook and is operational.Prices seems to have reduced by thousand bucks after I purchased. But nevertheless, this single, handy, easy to use and very sleek product fits all requirements. I do not like those cable extensions that keep on dangling with the laptop, where this product gets sticked to the laptop and does not need extra handling. Giving 4 stars only with that LAN port being of plastic make with a cap, otherwise this product is worth 5 stars.

As you know the MacBook Pro or any MacBook, have only thunderbolt ports, and to connect anything other than USB C you require a dongle. Hyperdrive Net is the cleanest looking dongle I can find that has all the required ports I want. It is an aluminium and plastic build, it has a LED indicator to indicate when connected. I couldn’t find a space grey one so I bought a silver Hyperdrive and it doesn’t bother me much. It sits flush and every port is nice and tactile. You also get a small pouch to carry your Hyperdrive.In my opinion, it is a well built and really necessary piece of hardware you can get for your MacBook but for the price of 7000 bucks! There is no denying the fact that both in terms of build quality and functionality this is the hub you want for your MacBook.The finishing is sophisticated to the level that it feels like Apple made it themselves.My biggest reason to buy this was that it came with an ethernet port attachment as well which I couldn’t find in other hubs.The biggest downside was is price. In my case my company paid for it but if I had to spend my own money, I would not get it.

This is a good product. The only draw back I faced is that it cannot be used with the protective cover on the computer. This is because it directly fits to the computer. I am using now another brand with a chord connection. So if you are using protective covers , this is not the product for you. Alternatively you can use this removing the cover.

After spending a fortune on the best MacBook Pro to have been ever made, you should not settle for a compromise by buying a single port USB link.Have patience, order this masterpiece on Amazon, wait for it for 4-5 days and there you are!An extension that’s a solution to all your MacBook Pro extension issues.Highly recommended.

Really if you get a new matchbook pro and you are using devises that haven't changed yet the apple format this is an essential purchase. As you will need it to connect everything else you own to the laptop.Which is more on apple either being stubborn or way ahead of the game either way you are going to be in need of a device like this.While expensive I do really love the colour match for my space grey MacBook and the fit when you dock it as being perfectly matched. does what you would expect perfectly in my humble opinion. Recommended

Nice looking piece of kit that works a treat. Currently using the ethernet, HDMI and both traditional USB ports (one to run a hub) and it holds up very nicely. Might be worth mentioning that on first use you have to make sure that it fully clicks into place so that the edge of the hub is flush with that of the macbook.

If you have one of the newer MacBook Pros then chances are you may be in need of some kind of dock or hub to connect external peripherals. Generally I can manage throughout the day without the need to connect anything to my MacBook Pro, but from time to time it is a necessity to connect various things and an all in one hub does the job.This one from Hyper is well made and colour matched to the space grey MacBook Pro, albeit being a very slight shade off so not a 100% perfect match. It features a variety of ports - gigabit ethernet, 2 x USB-C which also include power delivery, an HDMI which can support 4K at 30Hz and 2 x USB-A ports.For the most part I'm all in on USB-C having ditched all my USB-A cables and accessories around the time of purchasing my MacBook Pro. That said, it's handy to have the included USB-A ports as part of the hub because any new device that I purchase may well come with a USB-A connection or I may go somewhere and need to connect to someone else's device. Having the two USB-C ports is kind of redundant because the MacBook Pro itself features two ports (at least mine does, other models feature four ports) but these also support power delivery so can be used to power your MacBook Pro when in use.I've not had need to use the HDMI port yet but may be purchasing a 4K monitor soon so it should come in handy for connecting to that. Being completely wireless I also have no need for the ethernet port, but it's nice to know that it's there if I need it.All in all a handy thing to have, it comes with a small carrying pouch so it doesn't get knocked or scratched when in a bag which is a nice touch. These external docks and hubs usually cost a pretty penny and this one retails for around £100 which isn't cheap, but it is a quality piece of kit. If you really need all of the included ports and if it's something you'll use regularly then it could be worth your money. The only downside as far as I can see is if the ports you need aren't included on this hub, some may need an SD card slot for instance.
