How to Raise Goats: Everything You Need to Know, Updated & Revised (FFA)

This is a great book if you are looking to add goats to your farm. Great descriptions of all the breeds and helpful information for those starting out.

This was a gift for an 8th grade student- I'd promised if she passed all her classes for the 6 weeks, I'd buy it for her. She absolutely loved it! She said that there was so much information that was helpful in it. She's planning on raising a goat in high school Ag, so this will help her get started. It's written in a way that is easy to understand, but also has plenty of information in it, so she'll be able to use it as a reference.

...good book! Well written , organized, and and enjoyable to read. I would say it's everything you need to know if you are thinking about raising goats . I would like to have seen more technical information , more advanced medical information and such. There isn't always a vet around !

Crisply written, beautifully illustrated, quite plain-spoken about how to raise goats!! A very useful "how to" book - I am thinking it would be worthwhile to consider translation into languages of countries where goats are being encouraged as a measure for improving the qualtity of life! Fine writing, excellent layout, bravo!!

This is a solid reference book for my boys. Easy for them to understand.

We are total goat newbies and this is a very helpful resource! While we prefer the book "The Backyard Goat" this is a very good additional resource and we would strongly advise getting both if you are researching life with goats and if you are a "goat person".

EXCELLENT "how-to" book that covers all the bases. From breeding to birthing, this book has it all and will help you better understand how to start raising goats from scratch without any previous knowledge. HIGHLY recommend.
