Great oil for mechanical clocks
I like the oil. I used it on my Grandfather and Coo-coo clock. It has two needles for applying the oil. One is 1 1/2 inches long and the other is 3 inches long for getting deep inside the clock.

Other reviewers are correct...the oil is not as pictured...it's a dark grey in color. The bottle wasn't filled to the top so I was curious to it's actual weight and the entire bottle with lid and oil is 2.2 oz...meaning that the bottle contents is not a true 2 oz. That may not seem like a lot but for the price of 2 oz it adds up to be quite a lot when selling it in "1 oz & 2oz" packages and the bottle & lid weighs more than .2 oz. Just saying.In regards to the actual oil itself, it came with two needle applicators (one long, one short). I used it on two clocks that haven't been working for a while (one clock was in storage for 10 years). It only takes a small drop in each area and works fast. Within a few minutes of soaking in the clocks started working so it works.

Nice product with easy applicator BUT no instructions or helpful hints on how to use.

It WORKS
I must say I was getting very frustrated with our 40 yr old grandfather clock mis-chiming bought this oil before calling repairman( my old clock guy retired ). Well low and behold oiled as shown on utube video and my clocks is working like newHighly recommend and well worth the moneyQuick and prompt delivery too !

So I am very satisfied.
Decided to try to save a few hundred bucks by cleaning and oiling the Ridgeway grandfather clock we bought over 20 years ago, which had stopped chiming on its own. After scraping out any junk and using this oil, it is now chiming on its own again. So I am very satisfied.

This synthetic oil is perfect for oiling our Curio Grandfather clock and other "old world" clocks. Synthetic oil is recommended by top clock makers over traditional oils. Highly recommended. Really like the three inch extension to place a SMALL amount of lubricant exactly where needed. If you know how to oil a Grandfather clock then this oil is for you.
