Literature: Reading, Reacting, Writing 8th Edition

My son is taking college courses in high school. It's a great deal, as he gets ahead and i don't pay tuition. However when you rent a book from amazon, they must think it will be gently used by a college kid, get used once a week and left in a dorm room the rest of the time. My son needs his books every day. It is in a backpack and no matter how careful he is, it is too well used for amazon to take back.

It has all the stuff, got it used some writing, but never in the stories we used it for. I guess I would rate it higher but it was for class so how can I really rate this, took a lot just to make a review on something that was for class.

Best Literature book I have ever had for school. This is not a joke, I actually enjoyed reading the short stories and the poems most of all. If you ever have to buy this book for a class then you should dive into this book with an open mind ready to learn.

Arrived on time and in decent condition. I loved being able to rent the hard back textbook. The content, essay examples, and short stories have been wonderful to read. It's a literature textbook but the book flows quite nicely and is easy to read and understand.

If you're getting this for an English class, then don't. All the stories in the book are fairly popular so you can just find them on google. There is some cool background info about the stories, but save you're self 70 dollars and just read the stories online.

The condition of the book was in good condition when we received it and my daughter has been please thus far.

As textbooks go, this was prefect. it arrived quickly and in good condition. Initially ordered the paperback edition which was not what the professor wanted. This hardback edition was different, for some reason...and the right book for the class. Thank you
