Quality, functionality and price make this an outstanding DVR.
I just received 2 of these DVRs and I am very happy with them. I am amazed that the manufacturer packed so much functionality into this product. At $20 I expected a cheap unit, but this is much better than I expected. I am using one pair with my Snapper7 racing drone and the other with my TV/Video equipment. I bought this model because I have the ARRIS goggles that were apparently matched with this DVR. The internal rechargeable battery lasts more than 2 hours recording in VGA mode along with my goggles. I have been using them both and have found no problems with either unit. For this price I cannot imagine finding any other mini DVR that would come close to the quality and functionality of this ARRIS DVR. I am a VERY SATISFIED customer and recommend this without reservation.

Constant audio buzzing noise
The video on this works fine, but there is a constant buzzing noise in the final audio. It's not an issue with my equipment because this sound is present even when recording nothing (having all cables unplugged from the unit and hitting the record button). I'm immensely disappointed because if it were not for this it would have worked perfectly, but audio quality is very important for my use case.

Good addition for relatively inexpensive goggles :D
good for those inexpensive goggles that do not have built in DVR. DVR is relatively easy to use and the only downfall is a non autosave (in my case). remember to press stop when your done recording.

Will work with the Fat Shark Transformer goggles with a cable mod.
I am using this Mini DVR with the Fat Shark Transformer goggles. Note that the AV jacks are wired differently between the two devices. I cut the cable provided with the DVR recorder in two and resoldered it together to correct the wiring differences. The white and green wires go back together, white to white and green to green, the red and black wires have to be crossed, black to red. This switches the ground and video connections so that they match. I tested the goggles AV out to the DVR and DVR to goggles AV in, which is handy for making menu settings. So far works great, I will be checking the DVR battery life.

BE AWARE: Will not work sold as is
I'm using this Mini DVR to record video from an old analog camera. When I plugged in both ends of the 3.5mm, there is no picture. When I slightly pull out the cable, the best picture quality I could get is the black and white picture attached {Picture 1}. After some internet sleuthing, I was able to find instructions that say the following (without soldering):You'll Need:(One) 3.5mm AV to MALE three-pronged AV cables (Red, yellow, white with prongs)(One) 3.5mm AV to FEMALE three-pronged AV cables (Red, yellow, white with hole)All you need to do is swap the red cable and the yellow cable when you plug them in together {Picture 2}[If you're soldering wires together, swap the red and the ground wires.]Once the wires have been swapped, I got the resulting picture quality {Picture 3}For whatever reason, the manufacturer swapped the wires on the input jack of the Mini DVR. I would have liked to know before I bought this unit. Other than that, the unit works fine and does the job.

High quality product
My first impression was it's built VERY well for an unbranded product, the case is metal so it doesn't feel cheap even though its so tiny. The video quality is decent for a DVR this size and price, and as good as it needs to be for its intended use (FPV). The playback is by far the best feature to me and the interface is very simple and functional. The ability to have a look at the recorded footage within my goggles is very convenient. I would not recommend using the video out for anything other than playback though, it's very choppy while recording at least with my generic SD card. Maybe it would be better with a good class 10 SD card as recommended but I don't have any at the moment. Video is NOT saved properly when the internal battery dies and can corrupt the entire SD card so be careful of this and I recommend just leaving it plugged in and using the battery as a backup. Loop recording works great as well so you don't have to worry about formatting your SD card before use

Buyer Beware
I have had good luck in the past where my experience is totally different from those users giving products negative reviews; however, I have to agree with all the negative reviews this time. It sucks because I really needed this item and wanted it to work but I tried everything to no avail. My issue is that it simply does not do what it is supposed to do which is record video from your goggles. I tried everything to get it to work and still the playback was scrabbled. Like another reviewer said, it looks like the scrambled videos from when you tried watching porn on TV when you were a kid. I am not sure if it is the device itself or the included AV cable, but the only way I could get it to record something viewable was to unplug the cable partially from the DVR device after inserting the plug all the way in my goggles. Even then the video playback had a lot of lines and static in it.I included a photo of what the playback looked like.Definitely returning this.
