Have never had this problem with Plaid before, but on this item, there was zero quality control! Of the 23 paints provided, one container had opened in shipment, two others had no numbers on them, and, most importantly, I eventually discovered that nearly a third of the paint containers had the wrong numbers on them! This led to hysterically bad results (pink and red tail feathers on what were shown as dark birds, pink beaks, wrong background colors in bottom 2/3 of canvas (purple (!) and wrong shades of green, blue on flowers that were depicted as pink/red, ugly pinkish color on areas that pik showed were clearly supposed to be grey). By the time it became clear that it was not "just one" container that had the wrong number but multiple containers, there was not enough paint left to redo the entire canvas with what I eyeballed from the pik were the "correct" colors. Total waste of money and effort.

Plaid never disappoints! There is no blending required. This particular one had great colors.
