The Barbie Game - Queen of The Prom

I purchased this game for my 8 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she loves playing this board game. She and I love to play games and I remembered how much I enjoyed this game when I was 8. Part of the purchase of The Barbie game was due to nostalgia as it came out in 1961. I remembered how much fun I had playing it so I googled it and much to my delight I could purchase it through Amazon. It is not available in any stores that I could find. Educationally you get the benefit of math skills, learning how to purchase items, how important earning money is and most of all patience because you are always being sent home! Any one that has a granddaughter who loves to play with Barbie will truly enjoy this delightful game. I highly recommend it and thank Amazon for making it so simple to purchase.

This game is wonderful! My mom played it when she was little then brought it out for us to play when we were younger. It was misplaced when we moved so we found it online and got it. It brought back so many memories and laughter. It seems to be like real life with trying to find a boyfriend, make money, buy a dress, be president of a club then go to the prom. As in, you work towards a goal and there are many obsticales that slow you down, but help you learn from them. I know it's just a game, but it's a wonderful game! (And it's good clean fun, which seems to be difficult to find these days.)

This game is just as I remembered it as a girl when I used to play my mom's Barbie game from her childhood. Gave the reissued version to my daughters for Christmas (ages 6 and 8). They are in love with it! They've played it every day, several times a day since they received it. It is just as much fun for them as it was for my sister and I when we were kids. Noticed, though, that on one of the spaces on the board the word "without" is spelled incorrectly. That made me laugh.

This is a game that my sister had years and years and years ago. My sister and I played it, we played it with my nieces and now we are playing it with my great nieces. I saw this on Amazon and decided it was time for my great nieces to have a games of there own. I ordered it received it in a short amount of time and it was in perfect condition. Just wish I could see the look on their faces when they open it!!!!!!!!Great way to order online. I recomend using Amazon!

I love anything barbie. It was go great that you can find things like this on line. This game is romantic, but teaches kid to count and read and how to play with other; with an end resolute.

Instructions can be vague. We got barbies and dresses to add to the fun. It can take a long time because the dice only goes to 4 getting around the board seems to take forever one player kept getting sent to the home without ever getting past the first turn. we will ignore the go back homes in the future.Can be fun but improvise.

Arrows used to indicate movement around the board are missing or misplaced. This affects playability if you do not look up the correct board movements elsewhere. Makes me wonder if this is genuine.Otherwise, game was in good condition with all pieces.Edited for clarity: There are no arrows for movement into or around the "boyfriend" section, and there is a misplaced arrow going into the "dating" section.

Reproduction of original game. Looks exactly like I remember it. A fun game for girls.
