Good quality, well built toy
This is a very good RC truck that is built well for being an inexpensive import. It seems to be very durable thus far and is really quite fast for its size. The range of the transmitter/ receiver is about what they claim, as long as it is in clear sight. Around buildings or around the corner .... not so much. Transmitter features are impressive and work well, but I feel that there was a lot more 'quality' put into the vehicle than the transmitter.Battery life could be much better, but that's what you're going to get with a tiny 7.4v batteries so you can't really compare them to the "hobbie" trucks that use batteries 4 times larger. However, I'm impressed that you get as much run time as you do given their size.Speed is a bit exaggerated, claiming 30-32mph (45kph). Realistically it does about 25-27mph and this only in the first few minutes of play since they (realistic) battery life with a 7 year old boy going full throttle every run is about 10 minutes. Batteries take a good hour to charge and I'd suspect won't last very many charges if you don't let them fully cool BEFORE you plug them in after a quick discharge. While this is very much an RC TOY truck as opposed to a more serious hobbie RC, I believe you get a lot for you money. They do a lot of wild stunts and jumps very well and as I said seem to be very durable when doing them. All in all, they are worth the price for what they are and I'd buy them again for kids (or adults) that aren't necessarily the hobby RC type, but enjoy playing around with them from time to time.

Small but fun
Smaller than I expected, but still really fun. We purchased 3 different RC trucks this size and I like this one best. The remote has Steering Trim, Steering Turn Rate, Throttle Control, and reversible switches for throttle and steering directions. The Steering speed and switches to reverse both the steering and throttle are unique to this truck compared with the other 2 we purchased.Setup:On the remote, add 3x AA batteries to the bottom (the cover just slides off). And leave it off for now.To access the truck battery, you have to remove the body clips and another clip underneath. Be very careful not to touch the engine as it gets really hot after running. The yellow clips go together connecting the battery to the chassis. There is a button that turns “on” on the same side as the blue engine. Turn that on.It will blink and now you turn on the remote. The remote will pair with the truck. Hint: if you have multiple trucks, pair them one at a time!Add the body back and clip it down. Now pull the trigger to go forward and push it to go back. You can reverse this with the switch on the remote. Turn with the “tire” on the remote. When the battery gives out, turn the remote off, remove the body clips and body, turn the truck off (BEING CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE ENGINE). Remove the battery clip and replace the battery.Very fast, love the 4wd... recommend setting throttle control to about 4 until you get the hang of it.Battery life is decent, about 15 minutes of solid run time. They do give you a second battery.Cons:- battery life is shorter than I expected- only includes one charging wire, you can buy another but that’s additional $$$- NO usb charging block included, so that’s an additional $$$- Not Hobby Grade: Plastic steering linkage popped off center chassis on first day when my son flipped it. Popped right back on, but will keep an eye on it. One back shock separated during that same flip. So they are not gas or fluid filled, just plastic with a good spring around it.For the money, it’s a good deal. MUCH better than the RC trucks you would buy in a big box store. Not quite hobby level, but close. If you want true hobby grade, you will need to go over the $100 mark.Got a lot of compliments on it when we went to the park recently.

Great for beginners
This car is great for beginners. The battery life was annoying for our son... but was as advertised.

Remember the cool RC ads on TV from when we were kids? This one really DOES all that stuff!
I absolutely LOVE this truck! I'm 47, got it for my birthday, and could not be happier. This little truck is the most fun I've had in years. It comes with 2 batteries, it doesn't take all night to charge them, and they run for a long time on a single charge.I have tall grass and live in the country. This goes through dirt, mud, grass that should have been cut a week ago, and does the coolest donuts on pavement. It even rooster tails in dust and loose gravel. I wish I'd gotten this a long time ago.You really can't go wrong with this. Just watch the battery when you charge it and once the car stops going forward and only turns the wheels, it's time to take it to charge again. It's a safety feature for the battery. The instructions have some funny typos but they are very clear and easy to understand. Pretty much all the parts are replaceable and the instruction manual lists them and how to order them if necessary. This is the car I have hoped for my whole life. It's compact and easy to transport without being small. It is easy to take off the top and swap the battery, or clean the inside. When you get it, take a minute or two and oil the metal on metal parts to make them last longer and you should easily get years of use from this.I will update this every 6 months to check the ongoing status of it. So far, it is amazing! and I've had it a week.
