Hooray! A low profile dryer vent for outdoors!
This is so well designed, and so many others are NOT! First of all, it has a low profile on the front and back end, so I could squeeze it into our 4" diameter exhaust pipe securely in spite of some decking around the area. It also has a nice flat face and is made of durable metal. The design of the prongs on the diameter allowed me to secure it into place without having to use screws also, which is impossible for us to use because of our decking. I looked high and low for this item and am so glad I found it. The plastic versions all had a range of problems, too tight or loose in the exhaust connection, requiring additional fastening which was hard to do in my spot. Hooray for this good looking and well-designed solution! Even if it didn't have a tight spot, this appears to be a superior looking and designed solution. I returned a few other cheap plastic models in favor of this.

Stainless steel is always a safe bet.
It’s medium gauge sheet metal, but it’s stainless, so that puts it ahead of most other dryer vents. The pipe on this is sized to easily slide into the typical 4” dryer vent pipe, so using this one as a replacement is really simple once the old vent is out of the way. Mounting holes are small, so if your order doesn’t include the screws, you’ll need four #6 or #4 stainless steel round head screws at least 1” long. Top louvre is mostly above the exhaust air stream so it doesn’t blow open as much as the lower louvres do, but I don’t expect that affects the functionality. Huge improvement over plastic vents.

Stunning to look at
Beautiful upgrade for any home. Plastic looks cheap and trashy. Upgrade with SS venting. Worth the extra cost.

Must be protected from abuse of any type. Not as tight sealing as a simple flapper type. Very thin metal but it appears to be ss.

Sturdy and perfect fit.
Makes a bit of noise when flapping, but is tons better than replacing plastic ones destroyed by the heat.

Way better than Plastic
This replaced an old Plastic louvered vent and this new one is so much better looking and will likely be a lot more durable. I would definately buy it again.
