It's like I've reached a new level of civilization.
This is the best household gadget I've discovered in years. I just moved into an old house. I had to trash all the drapes, which had accumulated twenty years of dust and grease from cooking, and buy and install new drapes. But the new drapes were all wrinkly, and I needed to get them unwrinkled. So I did some research, spent more, and got more. This is a super hand held steamer. I got the wrinkles out of my drapes, and can even de-wrinkle my favorite cotton t-shirts. It takes longer than ironing them, but it's safer for me because I'm not that good at ironing, and for every four or five wrinkles I iron out, I accidentally iron another one back in. This can't happen with this steamer.Three very minor drawbacks. First, it goes through water fast on "turbo" mode (but turbo mode gets the wrinkles out of the drapes.) I have to fill it often, and I use water from my drinking water supply, because my pipes are in bad shape and I don't want to introduce particles into the mechanism.Second, it can get heavy after many continual minutes of holding it up to drapes when they're new and wrinkled, or cotton, which requires a lot of heat to de-wrinkle.Third, the power indicator light requires one to look directly at it from the front of the unit. You cannot see this steamer is powered on or off by look at it from any angle. In other words, you can only see that it's "ready" to steam when the steam is pointed at your eyeballs. That to me is a minor but avoidable design flaw. But if you've got new drapes, and you want a steamer you can hold in your hand and put on a shelf, I think this is possibly the best one out there, and worth the extra money compared to cheaper brands.

Fixed the clicking noise/no steam problem!
If you’re getting CLICKING BUT NO STEAM when the steamer is turned on (and reservoir completely full): just gently shake the handle! Truly. Or try turning it upside down and shaking, if it’s really not working… After a lot of observation and stress today I’ve figured it out. Basically, bubbles in the reservoir will naturally cluster on the water tube/metal ball when you fill/refill; and if your reservoir water levels get low, then holding the steamer at some angles (sideways, upside down) causes the tube to stick out of the water and uptake air instead. The clicking sound is just the steamer attempting to steam when there’s no water being taken up. So please don’t pitch your steamer if it starts clicking after a bit; it likely just has stubborn bubbles/air pockets that need to be dislodged, and can still work fine!Like many others here, I’d loved this steamer at first and then after 1+ year of storage, couldn’t get it to work again (just clicking, no steam). Seems to be a common issue in the Amazon reviews, but I didn’t see mention of a fix! Glad I decided to google troubleshooting this, instead of just chucking the item or chalking it up to poor build quality. Folks, the quality is actually pretty superb. This is by far the best handheld steamer I’ve ever had, and it’s built with the seriousness of a nice hairdryer. (Not aluminum Dyson-level, but think like a really nice plastic one that you can expect to use for a long time.) Def not light to hold, but it works and steams like a champ (and I can use the arm workout lol). I’ve already had mine for several years of pretty heavy use, and now that I’ve figured out the troubleshooting, I don’t think I’ll need to replace this for a decade at least. Wish Conair had made the troubleshooting for this item more obvious though.

The steam stopped coming out
I’ve had it for six months and it stopped working and I don’t know how to contact the manufacture for the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated if you know how to contact the manufacturer.

Wrinkle-free forever
I hate ironing clothes. I reserve it for only formal outfits that need to be pressed. But I was feeling a little guilty about always being slightly rumpled looking. I mean, I'm an adult after all. I haven't had much experience with steamers, but I figured I'd give this one a try since it was so highly rated by The Wirecutter. And boy am I glad I did! This is so easy to use. In the span of a few minutes, my once wrinkly tops are now flawless and I look more put together as a result.I got so used to this new wrinkle-free lifestyle that when I had to travel for work, I was upset at the idea of not having this with me. It's too big to waste precious carry-on space, in my opinion. But luckily the hotel had a steamer. After using that one, I can say with certainty that this is top of the line.

Broke after two uses
Used it twice and it stopped working. Pretty disappointing. Looks brand new but totally nonfunctional

Newest Version is Still a Good Steamer - but no longer AMAZING
This is my 2nd time purchasing this steamer. The 1st time was several years ago & they included a little cup to easily fill the steamer. The new version doesn’t have the cup, but they added an on/off button. My original purchase is still going strong and is my go to steamer for work. I do video production & this steamer was a game changer. The new version - I only use distilled water (per manufacturer recommendation). And it works great EXCEPT it sputters and spits out huge drops of water - soaking my clothes. The older version has never done this.Since I steam the night before - the soaking of my tops are ok. I pretty much only steam on Turbo so I go through water faster.Overall - still a good steamer just not AMAZING like my original version. Both steamers were purchased on Amazon - since I think that matters.I’d give up the on/off button for the steamer to not spit out water & WTF why not include the little cup to making filling the reservoir easy.
