I live in a small apartment and I'm sure my neighbors really appreciate these. I can play my drums any time now. They definitely make the drums much quieter.

I bought these mutes at Guitar Center in January. Overall, I like them, but the pads have worn considerably. In fact, I already need to buy replacement pads for 3 toms, and the bass and snare. Understand however, that I play far more often than the average drummer. And I am a beast behind the kit. I hit HARD.I play a double bass pedal DW 9000, and those beaters have made short work out of the bass pad.So, right now the pads on my 3 toms have been beaten thin as paper. They are scuffed severely. Bass pad is basically gone. Naturally, the set isn't muted so much anymore.But again, I play probably about 3 hrs per day. Every day. I don't know too many people who play as often as I. So, I don't fault these pads for wearing down. In fact, these pads are great in muting my kit. I would think that a self-conscious player would likely risk playing more often seeing as mistakes are muted. So I think that's a good thing for sure.

These do quiet my kit alot but if you have moongel on your heads the oil in the moon gel will warp the pads. Also when the you have the snare pads on they don't give you a snare sound so i put a piece if cardboard under the pad to stop the hallowness.

they are pretty good, they definatley mute the drums so they arent too loud, but they make them sound absolutly horrible. the cymbals sound like dropping bowling ball made out of iron on the ground, and their build quality is questionable. they seem very rippable, and i dont know if they will last more than a couple of monthes.
