Fun game, cheap quality, Mattel sucks
Bought this after Mattel let me down with their phase 10 app. I would rather buy this and play multiple times instead of sinking money into their app that is programmed to never let you win and the paid version doesn't work. Don't expect a refund if you buy the premium app that doesn't work. Fun game, easy to learn. Cards are definitely more thin than they were a few years back. Shrinkflation and the pandemic Mattel needs money so they cheaped out. With the cards being so thin, you can easily accidentally damage them. Experienced shuffling is impossible because it causes too much damage with such thin cards. This forces you to buy more cards, therefore more money for them. Come on people, the CEO of Mattel needs another yacht for his son's 1st birthday! Have some compassion for the needy CEOs. It would be easier to use the game rules, buy some blank cards, and make your own version that lasts longer and is custom made.

It's a fun game, but it will take a while
The product is as advertised -- it's a card game. Phase 10 is fun to play, but plan on spending an hour or two trying to win. Not a fast game like UNO, but very enjoyable, especially if you have four or more players.

Classic game that still delivers!
I remember playing Phase 10 when I was a kid, so I was so excited to give it to my children. They're much younger than I was when I started playing...they're ages 3 and 5. But they get it! The 3 year old still needs a little bit of help, but less than I expected. The 5 year old has picked it up and loves to play whenever we have some down time. The premise is simple enough: Each player is dealt 10 cards. During the first round, everyone needs to complete "phase 1" (which is 2 sets of 3.) Once you've accumulated and laid down your 2 sets of 3, you can play onto other people's sets to get cards out of your hand. When one person has no cards left in his or her hand, the round is over. All other players count the number of points left in their hands (an 8 = 8 points, etc.). Every player who laid down cards and passed "phase 1" will go onto "phase 2" during the next round. If you didn't pass "phase 1", you repeat it until you do. This game has a minimum of 10 hands, but in actuality it usually takes much longer. It's a fun game if you have time to invest, but it's definitely not quick like Crazy 8s or Uno.Aside from this game being awesomely fun and wasting hours of my 6th grade class time, it's a good counting/ matching/ sorting/ color recognition game. It's also fun for the whole family. It's basic enough that the kids can have fun, but complex enough that the adults don't get bored. I'd recommend this to anyone who is into cards, game nights, or family activities that don't require electricity!

Easy and addictive to play
My husband and I were looking for a small game to take with us on our cruise vacation that wasn’t just a deck of cards, and on the recommendation of a friend we picked this out. It was easy enough to slip the box in the beach bag and take it with us around the ship, and we made some new acquaintances with folks that would see us playing and would join us.Its easy enough to pick up the gameplay, and you can get really competitive as you go along. It’s great for kids as well as adults, whether it’s two players or a group. I recommend slipping a piece of paper in the box (and having a pen nearby) to help keep score and track what phase you’re on, or having your phone nearby and keeping track in the “notes” section. Or, if you feel like being nerdy, a set of 10-sided dice for the phases.I should also note that you may get the urge to play again after finishing a game, especially if you’re competitive like us and want a rematch. There’s been plenty of times, on the cruise and playing at home, where we’ve had two or three games in a row. Some phases go faster than others, which adds to the fun.I recommend this to everyone to add to their game collection!

A Super Fun Game with Minor Adjustments
This is one of the five favorite games that my old card game buddies used to play together. There were 5-6 of us, and we'd play with two boxes of Phase 10 and permanently remove all of the Skip cards. The reason for the latter, is that, it's boring enough, just waiting for your turn let alone missing one or more. Games should bring people closer together, not cause a person to feel left out. If I was going to personally upgrade the game, I would do that, remove at least two wild cards per pack, make four more Phase 10 instruction cards for those with bad memories, make a sturdy carrying case with secure card holders for multiple decks, and make a card holder with a secure storage space, in the set, as well as, make the cards nicer and long lasting. The decks are easy to shuffle now, but they are made of shiny paper, that will eventually get worn corners. For a nice upgraded set, I wouldn't mind paying a little over two times more for what I paid for this deck. But I can't complain. It was nice getting a better deal than Walmart. If you want some recommendations for other fun games, try Sequence, Rummikub, Canasta—the Hands & Feet version, Spoons, Texas Tick, Golf, and Polish Poker. With the exception of Rummikub, these are all games that need cards. We have a new set of game players now, and I'm about to introduce them to a new game—Phase 10.

Very poor quality cards
Bought as a Christmas gift to replace previous set of these cards, however the quality here is terrible. Would avoid at all costs

Great experience from order to delivery. Highly recommended!
Phase 10 Card Game: From the makers of UNO comes a rummy-type card game with a challenging and exciting twist. The object of the game is to be the first player to complete 10 phases ranging from two sets of three, one run of seven, seven cards of one color, and more. The twist is that each phase to be completed is specific for each hand dealt. Those who complete the phase advance to the next, but those that don't must try again. Great family game for 2-6 players.
