HHIP3900-2145 Aluminum Soft Vise Jaws with Magnet, 4" x 1"

I like these jaws, they're well machined, fit together well and protect your work when you need them. The only thing that keeps them from being a 5 star product are the weak magnets. They're just not strong enough and as a result they slip when you need them to stay put. So I took a chisel to the magnets (covered them first with painters tape because they are very brittle and will shatter and fly all over - wear safety glasses) then scraped out the remnants and the adhesive with a pick. These things are better made than you may think. The original magnets appear to have been glued into metal cups (like freeze plugs) which were then pressed into the aluminum. Once I cleaned out the cups I epoxied in some 16x4mm replacement magnets. NOW they're worth 5 stars!

This is a great addition to My Vise that protects items from the knurling or teeth of the vise! The magnet's could be a bit stronger though, but that is not an issue when the jaw's are engaged! Thank's Amazon!!!
