I think it's just the style of underwear. It looks extremely comfortable, and elements of it (e.g., the waistband) are, but the bottom rides up. I can understand it now that I think of how there is nothing (no bottom seam) stopping it from doing so, but at first glance, I thought that this would be a comfortable style.
