Who Was Rachel Carson?

I love how she's all about natureI just had a project on her so I bought this book but even after I scored 100 on the project I was curious to learn moreI didn't finish reading I'm.half way through. But I probably would be too lazy to write this in the future. I'm in love with Who Was... Who Is... and What Was... What Is.... and all that. I totally recommend and I now think zoology is what I want to major in when I'm in college. (As of now probably will go on to be a nurse.or a author) I'm in middle school an I approve

Very informative in an easy to read format for a 9 year old.

Each book in this series has been a very special read for me to enjoy with my daughter. The women come alive and we are sad to see their powerful lives come to an end. I am saddened that I never received HERstory lessons growing up, but delighted that my daughter has these rich resources more readily available."It's hard to calculate Rachel Carson's impact on the laws that protect our environment. She was just one person, but as a pioneering environmentalist she changed our country--and the world--for the better for generations to come."

I bought this for our granddaughter in second grade. The class had projects for Earth Day. The book is informational and easy to read. The whole book series is exceptional and keeps kids wanting to read and learn. Written on a educational level to motivate kids to read.

My sister and I went to the Rachel Carson Preserve in North Carolina and the local bookshops did not carry any of her books! Was happy to order two copies of these so my sister could have one. It was well written for many levels of readers.

I bought for my granddaughter. I wanted to learn more about Rachel Carson, so I plan to read it first! You are never, ever too old to learn!

My daughter was Rachel Carson for a project at school so we ordered this book. A little slow and boring of a read for a kid to stay interested. She was an interesting person, so I think the biography could have been written better.

Great book for my daughters first book report. It's clear and well written for grade school children (she's in 3rd grade). This book was one of her main sources of information.

Ich habe diese Buch mit einem aehnlichen aus der gleichen Reihe als Geschenke fuer zwei Maedchen im Alter von 10 Jahren bestellt und sowohl dieses als auch das andere Buch ist klasse angekommen. Mein eigener kurzer Blick ins Buch weckte mein Interesse und ich haette es am liebsten selbst gelesen :)
