I remember these MAD takes on the original Star Wars saga from when I was really too young to be reading MAD! Was very pleased to find a reprint and for not much £.One criticism is that the book is far smaller than the original comic, and then the pages are printed even smaller - unfortunately my eyes arent as young as they were first-time-around, so I have to squint at the type, hence the loss of 1 star

Bought this on a whim after remembering Mort Drucker's excellent artwork from when I was a kid. The Star Wars supporting info is interesting, but that's where it stops for me. Someone else has commented similar here - MAD just isn't that funny. Some of it is pointless. I bought it from around 83 to 86, when I distinctly remember thinking 'this just isn't funny' and cancelled my standing order at the newsagents. The artwork is still joyous, riotous, and beautifully clean by all the key contributors, but the writers are miles out.

Love the humor of MAD and that combined with my favourite movies you get this great book full of fun trivia, great stories and great comics!!!

This book is full of MAD publishings regarding the Star Wars movies since 1977. It is so hilarious, you can be addicted to it. And it's a classic. However the years pass, you always want to check again and have a laugh!
