Great pair of pants
3-year update:I've got 4 pairs of these that I wear most days that I'm outside (which is most days) and just bought another few pairs. These wear like iron, and while they fade over time, that's not really obvious until you buy new ones. These fit like Levi's jeans in the waist and crotch. My 36" inseam pair -might- have been a little long, certainly not too short, which is a frequent problem for me when I buy pants.Everything about these pants is well made and either heavy duty, reinforced, or both, but these pants are still comfortable to wear all day and they have plenty of room to move around in. The zipper is a burly YKK unit that will never fail. One of my favorite features is the "double" right pocket. I like it because I can put my phone in the inside pocket all by itself and not worry about it getting banged up by whatever is in the outside pocket. The waistband is one of the reinforced and heavy duty features. I'm not a clothing construction expert, but this must be the stoutest waistband that I've seen on a pair of pants, and I'm pretty sure that I could suspend myself from the belt loops if it came to that. One downside: My high efficiency (front loader) washer mangles these pants. I have to untwist and straighten them out before hanging them to dry. They haven't been in the dryer. They might come through O.K. But I'd be irritated if they shrank, which seems like a risk with these pants. As I said, I'm no pants engineer, but I'll still hang these just in case.

Durable, stylish, comfortable, AFFORDABLE - great product!
I bought these for my husband for Christmas. As he tends to burn through pants quickly, I thought I'd try a more durable pant this time. When they arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect - they felt like the exterior of a Carhartt jacket, and I wasn't sure they were going to be comfortable for him (he is a salesperson and spends lots of time in the car). I washed and dried them before he put them on - be sure to pull them out of the dryer right away or else they get hella wrinkled! - and they still seemed stiff, but we are used to more lightweight material for his pants. He wore them the first day and reported back at the end of the day that they are so comfortable and that he really likes them! We've had single digit temps in CLE for nearly a week and he said that the pants really blocked the wind well. The fit is as expected, and they are roomy in all the places you'd want room. LOL They are made of a heavier material, but the style of the pant is appropriate for business casual. A few places are reinforced - the heel, the inside leg, pockets (IIRC) - which is a really nice touch! I am so impressed with the quality of these pants and can't believe they only cost $60. I expect they'll last for a while and will be back to get other pairs in different colors! GREAT product!

Great Pants - Be Careful With Your Sizing
These pants are extremely well made and comfortable. I ordered the relaxed fit and the cut is just right for me. The materials and workmanship are first rate. I expect they'll last a very long time. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is the sizing of these pants. I've worn relaxed fit pants, size 38/34, for the past seven years. EVERY pair of pants I've bought during that period - jeans, khakis, dress pants, carpenter pants, etc. - has been relaxed fit size 38/34. Naturally I ordered these in the same size. When the pants arrived I tried them on and couldn't pull them up past my thighs! I ended up ordering size 44/34. Yes, you read right: 44/34! They fit perfectly but the stated waist size is THREE SIZES up from what I normally wear!!Bottom line is I'm very satisfied with every aspect of these pants, so far. I'm just warning you to choose wisely when selecting the size you order.

The toughest and best pair of khaki style pants that it is possible to buy
These are the most durable khaki style pants you will find out there, period. I tried them years ago when I kept going through pairs of normal khakis while working as a parking manager. All seams are triple or double stitched, the crotch doesn't have a seam down the middle, and the bottoms of the pockets are reinforced with patches to prevent holes. The material itself is a light canvas and is ridiculously durable- it will hold wrinkles due to its slight stiffness, but if ironed, is then extremely resistant to becoming wrinkled during wear. These pants have always lasted me 2 years of heavy constant use, minimum- when they do go, it's usually the seat of the pants, but not at the seam. The material besides the seam will eventually get worn down and will tear before the seam itself does- the seam is too durable to give. But don't get me wrong-these pants have like 8-10x the lifespan of normal pants, if not more. The only way these pants could be improved is by upgrading the material to be even more durable, or by adding a triangle of fabric running down the seat from the waist to the crotch to eliminate the vertical seat seam and thus prevent such seat tearing.

An excellent pair of pants.
I'll be up front and say it: Mountain Khakis aren't cheap. Unlike many things, however, you get what you pay for.First off, these things are bombproof. I have similar pants from a number of other companies like the North Face, and none are as resilient as these. My North Face Crag pants snagged on a desk corner and have a hole. I wouldn't be surprised if these just destroyed the desk. The flip side to this is that they are not the most plush-feeling pants you'll ever wear. Don't hear me saying they're uncomfortable - they're not, and they are likely to get even more comfortable with wear - but if you're used to pants made of softer material there may be an adjustment.Second, the fit is excellent. Let me offer a caveat, however: if you're looking for skinny jeans, these will disappoint you. These are pants tailored to look good while retaining their practicality. In other words, they're built to move, not just look good. There is room in the legs for your legs. I should also say straight out that my legs take up more pant real estate than average: I'm built thick. If you've got skinny legs, it's conceivable that you might swim in them.Bottom line: they sell these pants as able to go from the boardroom to a rock face. They're right. And while they're at it, they make your posterior look quite nice indeed.
