Not a good buy.
Boy am I glad I put this antenna on my antenna analyzer prior to trying it on my radio. Packaging and description state that this antenna is a 144/430 MHZ antenna. The antenna analyzer says otherwise. at 144 MHZ SWR is 4.8:1 with 230 Ohms of resistance at 148 mhz the swr is over 9:1 with about 500 ohms of resistance. I was amazed. Lowest swr is 1.3:1 at 138 mhz.How is it from 420-450? starts at 7.5:1 and drops to 6.0:1 with the resistance staying about 25 ohms across the band.I didn't expect much out of an inexpensive antenna but I did hope to be able to use it .This antenna will be returned as soon as I can manage to get it in the mail.
