This is the second piece I've purchased in this collection but this desk was not good quality. Finish is rougher, not flush on edges and slats on top have gaps. This must be seconds as it's not what I expected from Ashley and is made in China. I would have returned it but too much trouble to repackage.

I’ve been looking for a desk to replace a built in desk I had for many years. I wanted something that looked nice and was sturdy. I love this desk! I am actually more pleased with the final product than I expected. It is extremely sturdy and it was easy to put together. My only complaint is one corner has a knick. It’s nothing major, but kind of annoying if I really take a good look. Not worth sending back though. I’ve only had it up for 4 days so I’ll expand on this if I need to later on.

Had this desk less then 5 months and while I like the look and it’s very sturdy, the finish is poor. There’s flecks of the finish peeling off already. I use this desk daily for 1-3 hours and the place it’s peeling is where I put my drink. I do use a coaster 90% of the time, and would expect this after a couple of years, not a few months.

Not sure what all the super negative reviews are all about. My husband is a programmer and took a remote contract- now working from home. So I set out to give him a professional grade at home set-up for less than 500 bucks. Got this as a warehouse deal for less than 300, and I think it’s pretty fancy for the price. Four stars because the drawers are practically decorative, only deep enough for pencils and cords.The top of the desk is uneven, I solved this problem with a desk mat.Desk currently houses one large monitor, soon to house two plus a laptop & docking station, fits the bill nicely.

Beware!Warranty void when purchased from Amazon!Desk is a nice, heavy a piece of furniture, however, mine arrived with one of the drawers cracked.Ashley Furniture will not replace the drawer because I purchased it from Amazon. They will also not honor the warranty.Since we had to take the packaging apart in order to remove the desk from the box, I'm unable to repack it to return it. I need this for my job at home, and only need a small drawer replaced.So I'm stuck with a damaged $400 desk.

I bought this desk despite the bad reviews because it matches my bedroom furniture (which are of good quality) and, while I like how it looks and it was relatively easy to assemble, the other reviews are not lying about the surface damage and the totally broken drawers. I opened the main drawer delicately and the entire thing fell apart in my hands. The screws used in the drawers are completely useless and basically come broken. I’m going to keep the piece but I will need to fix the drawer with wood glue/better screws. For future buyers, you have been warned.

Great desk. EASYYYYYYY to assemble. 8 screws. Boom done. Super sturdy! Will even hold up your girlfriend for intimate moments.

The desk looks excellent, including the intentional distressed marks, for character. Pleasant surprise since it arrived in a box almost completely shredded, whereby I considered to refuse delivery. (UPS and Ashley should know how to ship furniture by this day and age...)The smaller right drawer makes an annoying scratching sound while opening it, so I use that drawer for less frequent stuff. Removing the drawer and brushing the glides dropped a loose metal filing, but that didn't help, and it appears that a tiny ball bearing in the glide is stuck. Maybe it's reasonable quality for this price point.
