More than just guns and armor...
Paizo has done a great job in writing the successor to Pathfinder, and this book exemplifies it. What makes this book worth purchasing is that it's way more than just guns and gear. There are archetypes, vehicles, npc's, starships, all kinds of things especially helpful for GM's.They pack in the value in their books beyond core, and that's nice to find.

SO much more than Elves in Space!
Binding was excellent. Physical book itself, regardless of content, is very high quality. Rules are great. A satisfying read and I look forward to playing. This is a relatively crunchy game, so be prepared for lots of event-specific rules, like car chases, hacking etc.I do wish the book had more on monsters, or even a few example monsters for each tier, but alas, it does not. Paizo makes their money on you buying MORE books, so they want you to own Alien Archive and the rest. Still, overall, a great book.Knowing what i know now, would I buy it again? Yes, 100%, I would buy again.

Great addition to your Starfinder collection and on going game!
Wonderfully illistrated, this book is not essential for Starfinder gameplay, but it is an amazing addition. More weapons with new options like small tweeks from the manufacturers give old options a new feel and lots of role play potential. New power armors give you options including how to level power armor you like and keep it relevant. Weapon attachments are new and cool. More tech, magic and hybrid items as well as a few spells, archetype, theme and a few class options for the core classes.The big thing for me was the augments section. This introduced magitech augments and has a full section on necro augments. These along with tech and bio augments, if you spend your creds right, you can make your character a super hero! Or mimic your favorite sci-fi persona!

More of what was needed in an already vast variety of gear you can get for your Starfinder Character. The book is a bit short, but if you are playing Starfinder Society you will need this manual as some of the gear offered up comes out of this book as purchasable gear for end of adventure rewards.

Lots of neat new stuff for your characters.
I thought it would be like the Pathfinder Adventurer's Armory, listing items that are in the core rulebook, but it's not. You have to use the equipment section for the core rulebook as well as the Armory to get all of the options available.

it is handy to have that range of more stuff to chose from.

Good system and very easy to understand
My only grip with this setting is the concept of all the habitable planet being in the same system and the concept that there is a gap before the story begin. This is meant to help link the pathfinder world to this one and its totally unnecessary. All it does is make it for lazy writing later on when you get other books in the series:Where does this come from ? no one know, because of the gapWhy does this race hate this one ? the gap?How come grandma don't use her magic to make better cookies, the gap.Because of this, I have taken the system and ditched the setting in favour of my own.
