ASICSMen's Gecko XT Running Shoes

So, I read a review before purchasing thst stated thst they are narrow and to order a half size larger. I measured my feet as described. By the initial measurement, I should have gotten a size 8. So, I ordered an 8 and a half. I received them a week sooner than expected. The 1st time I tried them on, they were extremely tight. So, I took some time and broke them in. After about a week, they are still snug, but very comfortable. And they seem to fit even better when properly tied.

They looked great but I had to return them because they were too small. Didn’t have the next size up.

Not once, not twice but three times a Gecko XT Men's Running shoes blew my expectations out of the water. Most times you need to break in the Toe Canoes before you put in the stance (that's distance). But these Gecko XT's fit snug as a bug in a rug, even after an 8 hour day in Joshua Tree National Park and close to 6 miles of hiking and photgraphy. Tarf again, these shoes didn't make me feel amphibian, or even reptilian, they made me feel Gnamimalian! Cha! Go out and get these awesome Toe Canoes, you can't beat the price or the comfort. Cha! If you are looking for an offroad trail or loose rocks surface trail shoes then this should be perfect for you, but for any other surface types, you better choose other Asics models as this is different than most other Asics shoes.This is not your typical Asics shoes.I own 4 other different Asics models and this pair is by far having the hardest sole material.Running or walking on any other surfaces than offroad trail or loose rocks and you feet will feel some pain pretty soon even on carpeted floor.The sole is such a hard solid piece that I can understand it would give you solid support on offroad trails or loose rocks but it is just too hard for any other surfaces.If Asics Gel Quantum 360 or Gel Quantum Infinity are the softest models then this one should be at the very end or the opposite spectrum.One other good thing of this model is the outsole / buttom pattern , they do give you very good grip on the surface you are on.Unlike all my other Asics shoes though, this model give you minimum to no arch support at all. This could be a pro or con depends on the wearer.For anyone who is looking good arch support, better choose other Asics models.This is not a bad shoe at all, but it's only suitable for just offroad trail.As for sizing this is certainly on the tight size.I usually wear 8 wide or 8.5 wide, for this shoe I have to get size 9.5 as wide width size is not available.

Get 1/2 size bigger

I love how these babies look!!! I haven’t run in them yet, but they feel pretty comfy. The only issues I have are they seem to run a bit small. After reading some reviews, I ordered a half size larger, and they still seem slightly snug in the toe. I’m sure once they get broken in they’ll be fine. Other than that, the shoe strings feel kinda thin, but I’ll just replace them with some quality ones. They look great, tho!!

These fit well and are well built. These are trail shoes, they are meant to be a bit narrow and fit snug. I wore these in a 5 mile hike in the white mountains and they performed well. Wear a good sock with these, I earned a hell of a blister on my heel due to wearing a crap sock that slid down mid-hike.

This tight little number is a glorified grandpa sneaker, disguised in fancy colors. As if you had your piggy wiggies in the mouth of an alligator, the toe box essentially stabs your foot like nobody's business, leaving you only able to walk in these things for minutes, to an hour, max. And you can forget about running altogether. Because unless you plan on keeping your toes attached to your person, the serrated knives built on the inside make it totally out of the question. Bottom line, unless your thing is ancient Chinese footbinding, you might wanna steer clear. And if you couldn't tell, I'm supremely disappointed, but what could you expect from Asics' version of a Walmart shoe? Terribly made, but ultimately, you get what you pay for...
