Seems great, but...
My FMS Kingfisher went together quickly and easily. I was very impressed with the quality and how simple it was to assemble. However, when I connected power and tried to do a systems check the rudder and elevator seemed like they were straining. I made a few adjustments to the rudder, and when I moved onto the elevator it was unresponsive. I removed the linkage and tried to actuate the servo by hand. Frozen solid. Here I sit with a plane I have had for less than 3 hours and am unable to fly until I can replace the elevator servo. Without the poor quality servos would have given it 5 starts. Very unhappy customer.Edit: Called customer service and talked to a real person, at horizon hobby, about the issues I was having and they are mailing me 2 new servos. Their help line was easy to navigate and wait times were short.

Nice trainer could use a little more power
Just put two flights on it off the snow with skis, flies nice, flies on the wing not on the prop More advanced pilots would enjoy more power over all the good trainer.

Quality!
Wow what a great plane! Top quality everywhere...cleverly packaged also. Everything fit together perfectly...I'm impressed! Been doing RC for 30 years...seen a lot of PnP kits...FMS is a winning choice. Maiden flight tomorrow with a Lemon RC 7 ch stabilizer PLUS receiver and an old school wired buddy box to teach my 8 year old how to fly!

Fun airplane!
Flies great and goes together easily and fast. It has plenty of power for short takeoffs and flaps for short landings.

Nice but needs work
I bought this Kingfisher for the park flying size and those giant wheels so I could land it on a grassy strip. Apparently the wheels are mostly for show and you still have to be very careful landing your plane on any surface just like any other model. I really still love it, even after my third landing when the wheels and gear were ripped right out of the fuselage. Very unexpected. On the other hand, I haven't owned a plane yet that didn't need a little work to get it off the ground and most importantly, let you put your signature on it to really make it your own. That said. I ended up rebuilding the base that holds the landing gear out of wood and glued and bolted it back in and everything works fine. NOW. I actually can land it on any grassy surface I find and the added weight makes it more stable. I also had the issue someone else stated that the servo popped and didn't work out of the box (frustrating yes and big fail on that Quality check FMS) but anyone who has been doing this for a while knows it's always good to have a few extra servos lying around. In the end, it's a very fun plane and worth the hassle. Enjoy it.
