As the latest additions to the Neo Power series, the CB Neo Power bib and shorts are compressive to improve blood circulation and offer the Coldblack finish that reflects UV rays and prevents overheating while riding. To optimize the rider's comfort, the Neo Power CB even offers a chamois with gel inserts, making it ideal for long rides. If you're still riding after sunset, don't worry about being seen by drivers as the CB Neo Power offer 360-degree reflective areas around the leg to keep you visible at all times.

bad cut
I ordered these to replace my old shorts by the same brand and same size because I absolutely love my other Luis Garneau shorts. I read that these shorts are categorized as a performance short because they give compression to help muscles. Well the only thing it compresses is my groin! The compression of the shorts is the same around the legs as my old shorts, but the waist section is very tight. The groin area feels like the shorts are constantly riding up and put a lot of pressure where I don't want it and causes chaffing in new places I don't like. I can't ride with these shorts because they are so uncomfortable. I wear 36" waist jeans which are loose on my waist and tight on my quads (I have developed biking muscles). According to the LG size chart I should be in a Large, but I ordered a size XL and the waist/crotch is just way too tight.

Great shorts
UPDATE (June 2019): I'm afraid I have to deduct one star. I still think the shorts are great, but when you wash them in the sink, the black dye runs. Still, after wearing them and rinsing them a bunch of times. Then, when you hang them in the shower to dry, they drip in black, staining your tile. (Hint: Use Tilex.) Now, I place a rag-towel underneath to catch the drippage.Original review: I've been buying much cheaper bike shorts for years, and they've been pretty uncomfortable. I recently read several articles about how more expensive shorts are actually worth the price, so I tried these. I like them a lot. They fit snugly - almost too small but not. My impression from several rides is that the snugness actually helps with comfort. The chamois gives a good ride. (It squeaks a bit. Not sure whether this is short-term while they're broken in or permanent.) And generally the boys complain a lot less than with the other shorts.

Pretty good for the price.
U an a size 32 waist and ordered a size small as per the sizing chart. They seem a little tight, but I'm hoping they will stretch a tiny bit over time. The reflective material is nice. The chamois is good so far. I've only tried el cheapo cycling shorts before, and these are miles ahead of those. I hope they work out long term. I like the length of them as well.

Lost color and elastic in legs
Padding where it counts is still good, but all the washing has stripped out all of the black color. Now they're brown. Also, the elastic around the leg bottoms are permanently stretched out.

I'm sticking with them because they're very comfortable on the bike
I'm replacing some old, very experienced bike shorts with these. Having never worn compression shorts, I was concerned they'd be too tight and purchased the next size up. Despite going up a size, they're still quite snug around the hips, which just feels different to me. However, I'm sticking with them because they're very comfortable on the bike.

Not quite
Either the version has changed or I bought a different model. Nice shorts, serviceable for regular use, but not as compressive material as my other Neo Power compression shorts.

These are the best shorts I own
Got these yesterday, and rode 60 miles in them today. These are the best shorts I own. Very comfortable ride, the entire time. Worth every penny.

Best bike shorts ever
My bike and my butt loved these shorts. They are pricey and worth it!
