Sigma ROX GPS 12.0 Sport Basic Cycling Computer Grey

The unit works great with a few caveats. It got stuck in a 'boot loop' after about a weeks use. I had to reset it and re-enter my information. It wasn't a disaster but it was annoying and my confidence in the unit dropped a bit. The second problem was with eating and drinking alerts. I configured them for 15 min drink/30 min eat. On my ride they popped up within the first minute, the notification display takes up 75% of the screen. I swiped them away and they popped up again within seconds, swiped them away and it happened again, and again, etc. I turned off the unit for the ride because it was unusable with the alerts taking up the screen.. Other than those annoyances, it has worked great. I love the display and it is very responsive when switching screens. Battery life is adequate. I'd buy it again if mine was destroyed or stolen.

Same problem as in the review above. The computer worked great for two rides. Now it won't power up no matter what I try.While it worked, it is much nicer than a Garmin 1000. Better graphics, tones, and turn by turn.

The mounting system is fragile. While riding over a rough RR crossing, one of the back tabs broke off and the Rox 12 fell to the pavement, cracking the case. Repair seems impossible from the US side of the Atlantic. I have e-mailed Sigma Sports in Deutschland with no response. They used to have an office near St. Louis, but closed it.

The Rox 12.0 has simply worked. Its interface is intuitive and navigation in particular is very well done.

So far, I cannot even get it to turn on without freezing! It gives me a prompt to either reset or wait. Either way, I cannot get it to function. Very disappointing as it will be three days before tech-support is open on Monday.

It is very good.

Reviewer that says that there are no updates available has failed to look at the Sigma support website. They have offered a new firmware update about every quarter. There is one for Oct 18, Dec 18, and April 19.

I will never buy Sigma again. I bought my first Sigma product in 2018 – a ROX 12. I reported several issues in 8/2018 and got a response from a sigma person saying that ‘he is hoping for these issues to be fixed in the next firmware update’. I have never seen any firmware update for the ROX 12 - in 8 months. I had Garmin for many years and they serviced their products regularly in contrast to Sigma. They released this expensive product and then don’t provide updates.
