So convenient!
I don't usually use a hiking pole but it was recommended to bring one on my recent trip in Peru. What attracted me to this one was the fact it's foldable and collapses into a very small package. Everyone else in our group were at times bothered by their poles sticking out of backpacks, or accidentally leaving them somewhere, while mine fit easily into my daypack. It's around 14" when placed in its snug bag. Only warnings: I'm 5'2" and I think if I were much shorter, the shortest option of this stick may have been a bit long for me. Also, I guess for some people, it might not seem heavy-duty enough, but it held up great for me, hiking around archaeological sites, etc., and I appreciated its light weight (I wasn't doing serious trekking.) It came with an extra tip rubber, which was good, as places like Machu Picchu don't allow you to have a sharp end on the stick.

Good but one big problem...
Satisfied with stick. One Big problem although is the orange attachment, needed to secure and then tuck away the stick, regularly fell off and could easily have been lost. Happened first day and then again. Good other than that for my intense walking tour.

Where has this pole been the last decade? I love it. Mainly because it breaks down so small for travel and being able to put in the pouch on the Airlines.

Packs easily.
