Tunze DOC 9006 Protein Skimmer

This product is not worth your money - DON'T BUY IT!!!. I purchased the Tunze 9006 and I have used it for about 3 weeks and it is already giving me problems. The shaft in the pump seems to be made out of some type of metal or magnet and given it is meant to be in saltwater, it is corroding or creating some type of grime and the propeller is getting stuck. Since the corrosion or grime in the propeller shaft is creating friction before it completely stops, that is generating heat. If you don't already have a chiller to keep the temperature under control, that alone will be a big problem - not to mention; a stuck propeller would means you have no skimmer.
