Durably portable
These well-made glasses and case have eliminated the frustration of always having to resort to less than elegant ways to carry reading glasses with me. Typical glasses are too bulky for pockets and inevitably get scratched up from whatever else gets tossed in there. Using one of the temples to hang the glasses on a pocket or shirt collar might work short-term but I always forget they're there after a while and often end up taking them places I wish I didn't (like in a car with the shoulder belt pinching them against me). Taking them out of pockets or from hanging on a shirt also often enough involves the hinges getting tangled up in fabric threads. First world problems? Sure. But it would be good if, instead of having several pairs of reading glasses strategically placed where I'll need them to avoid the portability problem, I can own one pair and safely, conveniently carry them wherever, even backpacking. This pair is that one pair I need. Plus, the optical quality is quite good, no distortion near the periphery, and they don't seem to get scratched. The case fits them like a glove and I hardly notice it's there in my pocket, it's so thin. Probably bombproof, but I haven't run that test yet. The pin for the hinge is a little loose and can start slipping out, but that hasn't created a real problem yet. Last thing, they rest very light on the nose, so no marks means they get the highest marks.

Great for the "older" population who still cares about looking good
Bought these for my husband, who refuses to get glasses. These work VERY well, and he loves how thin they are. Easy for me to carry in my purse and then hand to him at dinner. Highly recommend!

The case needs work, but great reading glasses…
I’ve bought 5 pair so far. They’re amazing reading glasses, and super convenient to carry (even in your pants pocket). They’re thin an incredibly light, so you can wear them for long periods with no trouble. (Heavy glasses give me a headache.)For this price, though, the case should have no flaws. The cases for 2 of my 5 pairs have fallen apart because the little pin in the hinge fell out. That needs to be addressed ASAP.

Much better than expected. (4 month update)
Update: after over 4 months use I love them even more! They might be very lightweight but they are well-engineered and not flimsy or delicate at all. I’m thinking of buying a second pair if I lose these - IMHO they are that good.I wear readers all the time and wanted an upgrade from your typical Big Box store selection. I was hesitant about buying online because a lot of glasses that look fine in a picture don't look fine on you. I picked Tortoise because I would never pick tortoise - I wanted a change. I was pleasantly surprised that the glasses feel precision and high quality and the tortoise is understated - it doesn't demand attention but just adds a little extra that I very much like. They are slim and light and fit nicely into their flat case that they figure people might stick to the back of a phone. That might be a little tight for an iPhone SE but it wasn't why I bought it. All in all - very pleased with them. Let's see how they last for an all-day, everyday wearer. Right now, though, I am delighted with my purchase.

Worthless if you plan to attach to a phone, which is the point of this product
Cutting to the chase - This case attaches to the phone by a magnet plate that is stuck to your phone with double-stick adhesive, and the magnet in turn sticks to a metal plate in the glasses holder. The problem is, if you attach the magnet plate to the phone, you're going to lose the ability to charge wirelessly as the magnet confuses the charger and mucks up the connection in general. As induction is the main method of charging phones now, and has been for quite a while, this is a big problem. But that's not all!The magnet plate itself is a pain to attach to the phone in the correct location because they don't give you a template to guide placement. Instead, you have to remove the backing to the adhesive and then try to stick the whole case down in the right spot. However, at least initially the sticky material is not strong enough to overcome the magnet, so you can't lift up the case without the whole thing coming unstuck. As you might guess, repeated attempts just weaken the adhesion. The instructions suggesting you go ahead and try to stick the case down to go over the camera bump is terrible advice. As you'd guess, the raised portion at one end, where the bump is located, causes adhesion issues, and ultimately is not workable. If you try to put the case to the side of the bump, at least on iPhone 12, not max, the case hangs over the edge of the phone, which of course causes other issues. What is maddening is that all this is avoidable, particularly with iPhones.First, the case is unnecessarily just a couple of millimeters too wide to fit between the bump and the edge. That's just a design flaw. The glasses would fit snuggly protected in the case with a slimmer width.Second, the adhesion to the phone is clunky amateur hour. Just a terrible design. I get that a lot of people use cases, so this may have been a compromise to make the case universal, but at the same time for any iPhone product with MagSafe, most people are going to migrate to MagSafe cases anyway. So, in addition to the dimensional change mentioned above, why on earth didn't they design a case that was compatible? I could see extending a plastic plate back from the case with a ring of magnets that allowed the case to stick to the phone and be easily removed. Half the magnets could be in a ring in the space of the existing case, the other half in a ring the extends in a half circle behind it. You could even make the magnet ring slide in and out of the case itself using a friction fit so that the case could be used more easily in just a pocket without the magnets, but that's a bonus as for someone like me, the entire point is to have the glasses stuck to the phone most of the time so they are handy. As for the glasses, the optics re reasonably good. I think better than the $10 pairs off the shelf. The real advantage is the form factor, and I'm waiting to see if they are durable as I see others complaining about scratches. As for the comfort, they're ok. They rely on being light, so the pressure on the nose is from a ridge with no padding, but being light, that doesn't seem to bother me. I also have their no-bow readers that just pressure clip to the nose, and those are good for what they are, but easily fall off if you move your nose at all or head very much, and they can be a little uncomfortable as they have a ground-glass like texture to prevent sliding. They could have done better with some more creative anti-slip materials, but the look of the readers are, to me, superior to the competition that have a softer nose piece, but look a bit goofy. Not sure I'd bother with these again over the Frontpage version as the "connect" purpose of these doesn't connect.

Best glasses
Nice style that will never fall off when you are leaning into a duty. Easily placed into an unbelievably thin hard protective case that fits in your pocket. You will never use other readers after you try these!

Perfect travel/every day companion
These are amazingly thin and comfortable to wear. The quality is great and the size is even better. The round shape is much better than the rectangle option as there is more coverage for easier reading. They are thin and a bit delicate but that is to be expected for an ultra thin pair of glasses. Even with normal every day use these should last a while.
