I wonder if the topic would be easier to understand for a slightly older child, therefore the illustrations are not really a match as the story is basically a lesson in how to look after the planet and what will go wrong when we don't. Don't get me wrong, it's very relevant and desperately important but I wonder if it should be aimed at slightly older children. Lovely idea. Not sure it's a match for little ones tho.

This book is so heart warming - a must for any child or grandad

I just love this simply book.I originally got 2 for 2 five year old grandchildren.Having read it, I ordered 2 more books to go to the families of my other two children, even though those grandchildren range from 13 - 22.The book gives a simple message - look after our planet - in a beautifully illustrated, non judgemental way.It just becomes a nudge every time it is read to do what we can to keep our planet beautiful

The touching nature of both the text and illustrations, along with the poignant message behind it, make this a lovely book. However, it's not the usual 'Christmassy' themed tale. Whilst I believe that all children, no matter how young, need to be taught the importance of looking after their environment, it doesn't make for the most entertaining of reads due to the serious nature of the message the book conveys. Therefore I'd proceed with caution if buying this to build the anticipation of Christmas for an excitable pre-schooler. It would however make a wonderful book for a 7-10 year old learning about global warming.

I bought this book and one other for my young grandchildren for Christmas. So did their other grandparents!The story and drawings are delightful and will remain as part of their christmasses to come. Would recommend it highly.

A wonderful book my 4yr old loves it and is one of her favourites

Absolutely beautiful book. It tells a very important message about looking after our world, in a child orientated way. I did shed a tear when reading this for the first time. Lovely book.

not what you expect at all but I think everyone should show this book to children and grandchildren and everyone to be honest and spread the word it is needed
