Pricey but good
Takes two coats to cover fencing and thick coats where the fence was already painted black, but it makes the fencing look new and really tidied up the garden. I used a 2 inch paint brush to avoid painting the neighbours side with drips and runs (that has happened to me before) which works well but bear in mind that the concrete posts and slabs need taping/covering to give a clean finish. Stir well before use and occasionally during use.

Excellent quality wood preserver
Lasts 4 or five years before it needs redoing good for wood and good colour and protection better value than a lot of cheaper products that fade after 12 months and don't preserve timber at all would recommend

Ultimate Indeed.
This is really good stuff that I have used before. It is pricey, but goes a long way My only caution is because it quickly delivers a coating with such good repellent properties, any subsequent coat(s) should be applied within hours & certainly the same day, otherwise the next coat can bead on the previous coat & be difficult to apply. One generous coat I have found to be the best.

This stuff works well
Don't believe the negative reviews. They either don't know how to use an outdoor wood preserver or haven't read the instructions properly. This stuff is thin because it needs to sink into the wood. As the instructions say you need to apply at least 2 coats to get a waterproof finish.I bought this in 2015 to treat a wooden greenhouse and am only now having to retreat. The colour is the same now as it was in 2015.

Just bought this in Country Oak which I bought last ...
Just bought this in Country Oak which I bought last yea & turns out it's a completely different shade. This newly packaged stuff (the word "ultimate" has been added) is a pale milk chocolate colour. Last year's shade was deep brown. The difference is enormous.I think I'll avoid Cuprinol in future if as many customers are saying on Amazon they keep changing their colour schemes. Pity, since it used to be so reliable a brand.
