Brasso is used for the cleaning of metal items like brass. I would not try it on an CD. Check with an electronics person who repairs CD players. Hope this helps. KM

Yes. It will not replace any metal lost to corrosion, but will get rid of the green filigree.

Nope, at least not by the "what it's for" on the labels. i.e. Liquid Brasso: Brass, Copper, Stainless, Chrome, Aluminum, Pewter, Bronze Polish Wadding-(what your asking about): Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Chrome I have used -- a "Connoisseurs Gold or a Silver Jewelry Polishing Cloth" also "Weiman Silver Cream" Hope this helps KM

Q: Will this take tar off of brass?

Duraglit removes a light layer of brass each polishing. I suppose it may need to be scraped or wire brushed to remove most tar. Then it would work.
