Since these weren't actually Herman Miller product, I was worried they might not work out, but they installed very easily and fit perfectly. These give you the extra half inch of clearance under the base of the main support cylinder if it happens to be rubbing on your floor (thicker carpeting, etc.). They have completely solved my problem with the standard HM 2.5" casters.

I was a little hesitant to purchase these due to the price. So glad I did though. Super easy to install too...I pulled out the old ones and pushed these in within literally all of about 4 minutes. I use a hard plastic mat under my chair (on top of carpet) because I’ve always felt that trying to roll back and forth on carpet is just unnecessary. :) Depending on your preference, you may need to lower your office chair after installing these too as they make the chair higher. These are worth every penny!!!

I purchased these for a couple of office chairs I picked up. We use them on carpet so the normal small wheels were very difficult to roll. These are much better - not quite a completely smooth roll but as good as could be expected considering the carpet pad. I'm a big guy and they are holding up well so far.

These don't like to roll so they're less smooth than my smaller stock casters. They make a dragging sound and will be going into the garbage. Made in Germany, thrown away in USA.
