Fell apart with minimal abuse
This product fell apart after approximately 200 “fetches”. We got this to throw for our 18 lb dog while on walks (to try and burn off some of her endless energy). She is not a hunting dog, so she is probably a bit rougher on it than a retriever would be, definitely puts her teeth into it for a grip. But, I expected this product to be made with material at least as durable as a cheap dog toy. As you can see in the images, the material began to fray and the filling started falling out. What is actually inside is some kind of hard (plastic?) pellets that my dog had stuck to her lips. I hope these pellets are not toxic, but who knows….

Really Heavy
Way too heavy - seems well built though the Aussie has already ripped up the head holding the rope after one week of use. Ruff Wear is way better product though more costly It is lighter than this one and is built really tough. Still have it after 9 months of use. This Browning model won't ;ast that long.

Like it!!
This seems to be well made and should last a long time but it is NOT a chew toy. Use it as a training tool but do not let your pup have it after training. We got the smaller dummy for our lab puppy. She absolutely loves it But I made the mistake of leaving it where she could get to it and those razor sharp puppy teeth made a dent on the canvas. Not so much that it is unusable though. She only had it for about 15 minutes if she had it for much more it might have been trashed. Puppy teeth and time are a bad combo on anything — this included.

Upgrade from Remington!
I was very impressed by this training dummy, after having used Remington's from our local Shipton's stores for years. It comes with a slightly elastic rope and the plastic balls on each end for throwing and retaining, and my dog is crazy about it. Remington only provides the canvas, no rope, and the stitching always fails on the hemmed overlap where the grommet is punched. Definitely impressed! It has bounce, so the dog can catch it on the first bounce if he goes for it.

Heavy weight, check the stitching before use
Ripped on the first day I got it. Our chocolate lab has a very soft mouth and is trained to duck hunt. He accidentally stepped on the rope as he was carrying it back from retrieving it out of a lake and it tore a little at the top. I’ve had one before that lasted a really long time ( it got lost ) and I think there may have been a defect or something in the stitching for it to rip so easily. These are actually really nice dummies and I will end up getting another one.

These are the worst.
My dog swallowed the plastic that broke off after having it for only one hour of play. I returned the defected product requesting a replacement and they sent another which lasted no longer than 1 hour. Now they tell me they never received the defected product and want to charge me for the replacement.THESE ARE a DEFECTED PRODUCT.

Seams split within a few gentle uses
I did not let me dog have this throw without my attendance. He did not chew it at all. The bottom seam split just from throwing the item for him to retrieve. Very disappointed in the quality. I even contacted the company asking for a replacement because sometimes items have flaws. Never heard from them. Didn't want to write a negative review but am very disappointed in no contact or concern on the company's part.

All Browning dummies are junk.
I bought this canvas dummy along with 4 vinyl dummies. The canvass dummy ripped at the seam on the 3rd throw. No rough use or whipping around, just a throw and simple retrieve. Junk. I tried a plastic (vinyl) dummy and it lasted maybe 10 throws over two days. The vinyl one cracked toward the top and ripped a little more with each throw. Junk.

Not such a dummy
Just the right size for my dog, many readily available ones are too big, it is well made and tough, the colour is great and readily see able by us. The ball and cord make it very throwable.

Broke at every seam
Initially loved it, easy to throw, dog loved it, flexible. Problem is that after about a month of use it fell apart. Plastic split along every area where thickness of material changed. Would return it if I could. Not recommended.
