Meco Digital Multimeter

I'm very happy with the initial impressions of this meter.Pros:1. It has lots of digits for precision (I can't say about accuracy yet).2. It has large lcd and backlight function3. There are functions for min/max/hold4. The probes are of acceptable quality for the price and the unit is well built5. It comes with some kind of assurance from the manufacturer in the name of calibration certificate6. Comes at a fraction of the cost of Fluke or Agilent metersCons:1. LCD contrast could be higher2. Not entirely sure about the safety mechanisms of the meter, say trying to measure current or voltage while in ohms mode3. Need to test for accuracy if some critical measurementOverall, I am very happy with the purchase and the seller and Amazon for making it available in less than a week. I hope that this meter serves me well.

Had purchased this meter as a standby meter, but when I compared the readings with Fluke 179 and fluke 17b, its almost similar with slight variations, so basically the accuracy of this meter is good, the only department it failed was in Capacitance measurement where accuracy of electrolytic polarized capacitor measurement was very bad, non- electrolytic capacitor measurement was fine, all other measurements including resistance, temperature, voltage, diode and frequency was good.Overall a good meter for the price.

I have a Fluke multimeter. I had wanted to purchase 2nd multimeter, then my friend suggested me, to go purchase meco multimeter it's good calibrated and very Old reliable company, then I purchase.
