Very handy for hats, socks or things that have a short circumference, make sure you tighten well the knitting needle to the cord. Check every now and then to make sure the needle does not get detached from the cord! Used tightener pin to attach, twisting needle on by hand is not tight enough. A good assortment of sizes, great price!

I overheard a conversation in a knitting shop where someone said her aunt used the Specials to knit hats and I thought, really, give me a break! Well, on a trip to Webs I purchased the regular Nova Platina interchangeables and also bought a small cord which I could not use with my regulars. Called the store and it turns out the small cords are for the Specials, so I came to Amazon and purchased my Specials here. Well, I have knit several hats and what a difference!!! They are just the right size to use with the smaller cords which are also just the right size for the average amount of stitches you cast on for hats. You really are missing something if you don't have a set of Specials to complement your other needles and all the Nova Platinas have a nice point that makes it easier to knit with most yarns, especially when making lacy things and your knitting just flows. My preference has always been "metal" and if you are like me, you will find Nova Platina's are great and the Specials are so wonderful!!!

The needle tips and cable are very nice, but I have two issues. Some of the needle tips do not screw in completely, leaving a sizable gap where the screw threads are exposed between the needle and the cable, allowing yarn to catch at the join. Also, the storage case does not hold the needle tips in place, allowing them to slide out of place, all akimbo. So then I have to sort them all again. Grrr!Update: The needle tips are now screwing securely into the cable connections. Initially a small burr or something like that must have been interfering with a tight connection. Now the needles work like a dream. I still think the case is badly designed and have pitched it, and that is why this product does not qualify for a 5 star rating from me. I now keep these needles in the case with my ChiaoGoo Twist Red Lace interchangeable needles. I love those needles too!!

I choose to believe those who said this set came with size 11 darn it!THIS SET DOES NOT INCLUDE SIZE 11.Its exactly like the picture. Great set but I needed size 7 9 and 11 for my projects and decided instead of buying each individual needle pair that I would buy this set.Now I had to spend 14 more dollars on just size 11 needles to make a full set because the chunky set I also bought starts at size 13 - that dont make sense!Quality not as good as I expected but I like them, now I am really worried about the chrome wearing off as other said now that I have these needles in hand. I will try them tomorrow and update review if and when something goes bad.Happy Knitting All!

Just got these yesterday and knit a 5” adult hat brim in no time. It was pleasurable. I have the chiagoo 5” interchangeable set. Those are wonderful but so sharp that I cannot knit for extended periods of time because my finger swells up after a while from being repeatedly stabbed. These do not hurt me at all, the yarn glides smoothly, the cord is fine and the price was so doable. The case isn’t anything to write home about but I like that I can see right in. Whether or not the finish on these needles is gonna wear off remains to be seen. Next time I’m going to order the cubics set and I would love to see the cubics complete set in 16” interchangeables. That would be great.

Love the smooth join and sharp points. Very nice to work with. I started working a sweater for my dad and I'm loving the great slide, making this a quick work! (I will be making the sleeves with my 16" set).The various cord lengths makes it easy to not have your work crammed on your needles!

I have to say that these are really amazing needles for the price. I bought them with the intention of using them with all lengths of cords and not just the 16" ones that it came with. I love the short length. The tips are plenty pointy enough to do M1s and K2togs easily but not so much that you have to worry about knitting a hole in your finger. The join is a tad off. It doesn't leave a gap for your stitches to get stuck in but it does seem to not be perfectly smooth. I'm ok with that though. If it bothers me I'll get some crocus cloth and smooth things out. In spite of that, I still think 5 stars because they are a great pointy set of needles.

Love these needles! There is a great taper to the points, they connect quickly and securely. I would absolutely buy these again, I only wish that the needles were a smidge shorter to go along with the shorter cable.

Excellent mini needles for knitting socks or hats in the round. Much kinder for arthritic hands and fingers and I wouldn't now use anything else. I already have another set of needles with longer cords but this set is perfect for smaller projects.One down side, but not related the the actual product is the cost of postage and import duty for U.K. buyers. In total I paid an additional £19 on top of the product cost. My fault, I should have read the small print but it is definitely something to consider for UK buyers.

I'm absolutely in love with these needles!..so smooth...great for fast or right knitters...Smooth joins...fantastic!

My first time knitting with circulars, took a bit of getting used to but I like these needles a lot. The only problem is the attachable needles keep loosing off from the cord causing a ridge where the yarn gets caught even though I use the key every time to secure the attachment

I like Knitter's Pride products and this is my third kit of Interchangeable Needles Set from Interchangeable Needles Set.On this kit the joints are not as smooth as my others Knitter's Pride interchangeable needles. The yarn is kind of stuck on the joint and doesn't move as on my others Knitter's Pride.I'm a little disapointed because I was expecting beter from Knitter's Pride.For my next buy I may considere another brand.
