Knitter's Pride-Cubics Platina Deluxe Interchangeable Needle, Silver

I first tried these cubics in a sampler and loved the way they felt. These needles provide just enough hold so that stitches don't slip off uncontrollably as they do on other metal needles I've tried. The square shape of the needles make them easier to hold and work for extended time periods than the round counterparts. I also own the cubics in wood, as well as interchangeable sets in sunstruck and rosewood, and love all of the sets - each type of yarn has a type of needle that works best, in my opinion, so I swatch a little with each new yarn to find which type and size I like for the project. I now use interchangeable needles for almost everything except when knitting extremely small diameters, like the decreasing sections of caps/hats. The various cable lengths makes it easy to pick a size that works for everything else from thin scarves to really wide afghans. Also, the caps in the set make it easy to put down one project without losing stitches and also allows for using the same size needles on multiple simultaneous projects, if necessary.With all of the Knitter's Pride interchangeable sets, the key that comes with the set to secure the needle tips to the cable works well to get a tight enough fit. Occasionally I can feel the join loosen and reach for the key to tighten but it's only happened a few times, each time after many many hours of knitting. I also own a set of Knit Picks interchangeable needles and found the cables from the Knitter's Pride sets and the Knit Picks set all work together (I believe they're all made by the same factory in India).

Being square I can knit painfree, they aren’t too slick to lose stitches and the size is readable, worth buying!

Great tools, GREAT price, easy storage/transport case, excellent accessories provided for changing needle tips, marking needle size, different length cables, and more, and fits in your pocket!!! Only thing I'd change: give sizes 5-10.5. I use 5s, never use 11s (but I already have 5s so OK.)

They are comfortable to hold, but I have a difficult time keeping the tips from unscrewing as I knit.

I just got my needles today…..Right away I started on a project…. After using them for a bit…. They are freakin awesome! I was a little skeptical on the shape… but they are really comfortable…. The finish on the needles is really nice, but I’m a big fan of Knitter’s Pride needles anyway. I’m gonna get the 10” straight needles also!!!! Awesome needles!!————————————————————————update 5/10/ 22 I’ve only had them since last Oct …..the needles are great…. But the plating on the needles sucks …around the tips of the needles you can see the brass showing through… I did buy the 10” straight needles also and those also are looking thrashed. I hardly ever use the straight needles..The shape and feel are awesome …. The quality of the needles is horrible…. Paying good money for something you think is gonna last is infuriating!!

These knitting needles are smooth and my yarn slides very easily over them. The shape also does feel better on my hands (arthritis) and I can knit longer. These will be my go to needles for all of my 'grabby' high friction yarn... will probably use my wooden needles for slick yarns though. Working on a sweater right now and these are helping it knit up fast!

The tips are nice and sharp and the cables are very flexible and have no memory so they are easy to work with.

I am an experienced knitter and was starting to have arm nerve issues from repetitive stress. I was also getting frustrated with the lack of 'slide' on the wooden needles I was using. I have other sets of metal circs, but the connectors were not seamless, and my work kept catching on the connector joins. I decided it was time to invest in a new set. I have multiple Knitter's Pride circ sets, all wooden, and until recently, really loved them. I researched different brands but kept coming back to Knitter's Pride. I settled on the Cubics Platina, as my research showed that the square shape was friendlier ergonomically. I was not disappointed. The connector joins are smooth, and the needles fit with my other circ cords from Knitter's Pride, so I didn't have to re-buy my collection of cords. The needles are slick, comfortable, and I am knitting at about three times the pace with this new set!! I am going to purchase a couple more sets just in case they get discontinued at some point. I highly recommend!!!

I love square knitting needles and this set is good value for metal ones. I wish they came in smaller sizes and larger sizes than the set includes.
