Fortessa Verto Series Contemporary Design Door Lever/Door Handle (Passage, No Lock, Brass)

These door handles are sturdy and attractive, and I've ordered three more. I'm giving it only four stars because of very unhelpful instructions and packaging. Specifically, the instructions say to insert provided screws to hold the two handles together -- but the only screws in the small box of accessories were ¾" wood screws. It was only after a trip to the hardware store and a wasted $7 on replacement screws, that I heard a mysterious rattle when discarding the empty box and discovered the proper screws, thrown in loose in the box. So, dismantle the handles and start over again. (Even for the second set I installed, I had trouble finding the screws -- although now I knew they were there!) Because of this and other vagaries, the first handle set took me half a day. The second took fifteen minutes.

Very nice door lever at very good price. Beautiful, sturdy, easy to install. Gives the feel it will hold up to heavy use over time. I first tried a handle from Omnia that looked good on paper but felt badly designed and flimsy in construction. This Fortessa handle is much better. I bought a bunch more after the first one. I hope that Fortessa will commercialize the dummy version soon.NB: I am a homeowner. Nobody paid me or gave me a financial incentive for this review.

Like the other reviewers I really like the style of this door handle and it has a lot of weight to it. However, 2 weeks after installation (by the renovation team... so I think they've had quite a lot of experience installing door handles) the handle would turn but it didn't disengage/move the latching mechanism so we couldn't open the door. We ended up having to disassemble the door handle and use a screw driver to manually turn the latch to get into the closet. Once disassembled we could see that one of the internal pins had snapped off. This piece is lightweight compared to the handles and cover (the externally viewable parts of the door handles). It is hard to tell if the internals are plastic painted with a metallic finish or just a really lightweight metal. In either case, sturdier material should be used to carry the weight of the handles. It could be that I received the one in a million defective ones but I was very disappointed since these handles are very pricey.

Very well made and easy to install, the only problem I had and it was minor, the directions are universal for both privacy and the passage sets, but they are more suited to the privacy set. Highly recommend this product. Fit and finish is very nice and they look great.

Many things make this product an outstanding one: the detailed craftsmanship, the beautiful modern design, the quality of the material, and many others. I installed them in 7 doors of my remodeled house and they look very nice. I'm very happy.

We ordered 3 of these and two from a different manufacture company in bronze. Out of the three, only one of them work. One handle stopped locking after about a month, a second handle will always lock from outside of the room when you close the door completely. Very disappointing and annoying. The bronze handles we got were less expensive and still work beautifully.

Love love love these handles. They are even more beautiful than the picture. They are solid feeling and are high quality.

Very nice and very good quality. I strongly recommend it.Added 7 months after installation: quality is as good as look no issues. So I really don’t understand people complaining about the quality!I installed 8 over the house and I want two more to finish all the doors. Unfortunately is not available anymore. Message to the seller please if you can find two more let me know?

Need to pay another money to buy the latch. They provided the latch length size is not the normal door size. So you have buy the latch from them in addition 8 dollars to this lock.
