Original Tupperware Brand Egg Separator CHILI RED Color

I just received the chili red Tupperware egg separator. I'm going to keep it, but there are a few features I'm not really thrilled with. First, it is not as solid or sturdy as the original yellow one. Second, the original yellow one sat very nicely on whatever container I put it on. I haven't checked this one out yet, but not sure about the slit. I just ordered a vintage yellow one. I had used my old yellow Tupperware egg separator for so long that I can't even begin to guess how long I had it. I was really disappointed when it finally met its fate last week. Somehow, even though I had it over one of the tines, it managed to flip out of the top rack of my dishwasher and landed on the heating element. I was excited to see the red one, just wish it was the same quality. Why do companies keep "improving" with cheaper materials when they have such a good product to start with? A hint to get it to separate a little quicker is just to run your finger over the inside ridge (the one that holds the yolk).

Had one in yellow as a kid, soon as I got my own place I got the red one. Love this item. Works wonderfully. Always had always will (the yellow one has lasted 22 years so far so)

I am very very unhappy.. I beleived I was getting a Red Egg Separator. It is orange color and doesn't go with my decore..I felt I was deceivied,as the product is not as advertised.

Has groove on the side to put it over a measuring cup while eggs are being separated, allowing for hands-free operation.

Perfect for separating the yolk from the white! I use this on the regular basis! Much cheaper than buying egg whites in the carton!
